  • me encantó el perro del video.

  • Ace track! Loved it back in the days...and still sounds great! I'll drop that on saturday.

  • soon it will be fall and the days will feel like this song.

  • My god, I'm tripping balls right now

  • Yes Dilla did do a great job sampling this song, but why is nobody giving Towa credit for putting down a dope ass track like this. Honestly this song is the shit.

  • brings back old memories

  • I taped this video from MTV or something back in the mid-90's, and would play it all the time. I think I might have been the only kid in my part of Indiana rocking to Towa Tei at that time, lol. But we had a great public library in my town, with a first rate audio/visual department. So fortunately I could expose myself to all kinds of great music.

  • @LateNightCable Another Hoosier fan of Towa Tei?! Represent! I bought this cd in 2000, at Indy CD and vinyl.

  • the 90s were so sweet

  • @ 1:06 "Find A Way" awesome! E

  • Your just not hip if you don't get Towa.

  • Wonderful track...

  • tha whole time i thought dilla was genius for coming up with the beat for find a way but no...he got it from here. still a good idea for using it to sample though.

  • @aofoyayo Dilla is a genius hes a Master of beats only someone with his true skills could fuck with this kind of sample!

  • damn this is mellow as hell

  • I MET THIS DUDE in Tokyo. He has an awesome style. . .

  • Actually, A tribe called quest sampled from him.......not the other way around. He helped them out by adding his sample and mixing it for them.

  • its in portuguese of Brazil, she sings that in Copacabana (Rio de Janeiro beach) have all of good, all that is nice, like acerola juice with apple, and comes from the foot( tree).... something like this

  • love the part Dilla used ATCQ's Find a Way

  • @benGO94 a tribe called quest - find a way

  • damnm i had this on cd, but i really i have no clue where it is. thank god theres youtube!

  • Yooo! He's got Tribes "Find A Way" hook line flowing in there! It's unfortunate none of this music is being played anywhere on Radio :( but other than that this some GOOD SHIT DOE!

  • @Miamic81 This is the sample for that song

  • WHAT LANGUAGE ARE THEY SINGING IN?

  • @Btubby21 -- That's easy... it's the universal language of cool! ;-) ... but, to be serious, if you are referring to the female voice, that is Portuguese, I think. Towa Tei, along with a lot of his contemporaries, heavily sampled/enjoyed Bossa Nova and Brazilian music. The singer's name is Bebel Gilberto, daughter of famed Joao Gilberto (known for stuff like "The Girl from Ipanema"). Oh, and there is a "Tribe Called Quest" sample in this song too... from the song called "Find a Way." (;^.^)

  • 2:31 - 2:40 amazing!!!! ATCQ/ DILLA!!!

  • @chewyluigi SOOO NICE!! I LOVE IT find a way.. rip dilla

  • Super classic!

  • where i can i buy this?

  • can someone please translate this for me? what are they saying???

  • listen to Find a Way- A tribe called quest

i don't know if the chorus is translated or they made the words up themselves in the chourus

  • just so innventive like many of TT "kyoku"...

  • 2:32

  • "la em copacabana que tem, tudo de bom tudo que é de bem, suco de acerola com maça, que vem do pé meu bem"

  • I wonder; why doesn´t anyone make this kind of music anymore ??

Thank you for posting this !! <3<3<3

  • This is just good music, with an innovative video too, both were ahead of there time, excellent 90's track!!

  • San Diego, California, 70 F, sun, slight breeze, a 1995 kind of day in 2009. Towa is a godsend.

  • the tribe's version is really cool and i enjoy almost everything dilla touched, but that one is groovin harder than yancey's one, nuff respect for that catchy tune!

  • The pinnacle of 1995 computer technology

  • This song is playa and boss at the same time.

  • This is off the hook. :P

I have a Makoto Drum and Bass Remix of this song I will post up later on.

  • this was inspiration for A Tribe Called Quest's Find A Way

if you dont know the song sing this at

    1:06

Now you caught me heart for the evening

Kissed my cheek, moved in, you confuse things

Should I just sit out or come harder?

    Help me find my way

  • do you know the meaning of inspiration?

they sampled it and took the melody or their hook

Interpolation and inspiring is a different thing

    and sampling is another thing

  • lol

    in a old interview

Dilla tell ppl how the sample was a inspiration for ATCQ to write find a way

and make it the first single on their final album

oh lol Interpolation and inspiring is a different thing lol

if u see the interview u will see why that is funny as hell that u said that

must not be a Dilla fan

  • Well you got that straight

I am a producer myself and I understand sampling is a good art form however no up to par with what I consider Musical talent.

I`m inspired by the Neptunes/Indie bands(Coldplay/arctic monkeys) etc mostly because They don`t use samples but rather playing every singe chord themselves

  • true that

but i do luv a gud sample when it done

in a respectful way not jus sped up

    like

1993Ice Cube - Today Was A Good Day sample of 1977The Isley Brothers - Footsteps in the Dark

    and

Jay-Z - Can I Live sample of 1970Isaac Hayes - The Look of Love

  • Just because they play every chord/note themselves doesn't make them any less derivative than someone who samples.

  • j dilla sampled this

  • R.I.P

    J Dilla

    The Ummah forever

  • I knew why I liked this song so fast, its bossa novaish, them japanese know good jazz!

  • this song is so fresh

  • greatest song ever!! love towa tei

  • The best music video of Towa Tei.

  • i remember it from viva II (R.I.P.)

  • Brings me back to the times of watching AMP on MTV back when it cared about music

  • aww... same man... I was five when I first saw this and was amazed then. Im a senior in highschool now and I was just getting into Cornelius again when my friend re-introduced me to Towa Tei. Turns out he's been an all-time favorite I just never discovered. This is just... this feeling has no description...

  • Really astonishing!

    International & Funky!

    Right on!
