These are just few of my comments:

BM song is bad, with most of the intonations are totally out. and what's up with the broken chords?

BI song is average. 6:02 is just terrible. Sopranos need to work on high notes.

This choir did not try their very best that day, and there's a lot, A LOT of room for improvement. What happened to the choir I knew back in 04 and 03? That one gave me goosebumps. I believe that u guys can do better than this. Gotta work on intonation people, serious problems there.

All in all, the choir is good and with potential (I think most are new, no?). However, there are many places which can be corrected (hopefully parakitos can do that?). I am sorry if I'm/was being harsh on the choir but I hope you guys can improve next year =) Let's show Malaysia that Sarawak's choirs rocks! Good luck

Also, the arrangement used lots of maj7 chords (if my ears serve me well) which acts as double-edged swords. However, I do not like how the SA came in on the second beat to harmonize the men. It throws off the rhythm since it's an a capella. Also, a clear picture of intonation problem is when you start noticing that "Malaysia nusaku tercinta" ends in Eb major when the song never went through any modulations...

n to e others who hav been critisizing this choir, pls bear in mind it is nvr easy to train a good choir.. and THIS my friends, is a GOOD choir.. very potential.. if any of u is not satisfied with their performance, well help them improve.. train them if u think ur capable of doing so.. sorry im in kl.. if not i'd love to come listen to u live.. :)

You're pro, my dear, not only in training your own choir, I suppose. Also, you know when to say what is supposed to be said and what is not supposed to. I mean, from what I see, you are the only one speaking for music in a good manner. Salute! There's a really huge difference between a trainer and an onlooker. so guys well done on e voice, it takes time to develop nice tone so dun fret k, u have lots of potential :)

ur a cappella's arrangement was really very impressive. thumbs up to ur arranger :) with ur choir's tonal attributes, a cappella is definitely one of ur best choices. however, during the middle n towards e ending of e song, there were a few pitching problems, which, can be curbed by practice. give it another year of thorough training, u'll get there definitely.. :)

My most favourite BM choir song......it was the most beautiful song of all and very nice arrangements...i give an A for that but.......a fair try. "Mayb the CLOTHES were a little too big for the PERSON." The starting was already out until the end. So obvious that the first note that sang out was different from the first key. Was i deaf??? If wrong pls do say.

The first note IS correct. It's the fourth note which started having pitching problems.... Besides, giving a D maj add9 (or D2 if you will) Chord on the first chord with an F# bass isn't totally sound... The chord sounded dissonant (I think due to improper harmonization. Top notes a bit sharp)

Btw, according to my humble ears, the chord consists of A,F#,F#,D,E no? The second chord consists of G,E,C#,A,G (I think it should be this, the A7 chord, but it was out on the high G)

Without even looking at the "professionalism" part, there is already a lot of problems with the singing. The Eng song is quite good, except for a terrible part at 6.03 and also slightly off at the ending. The BM song is quite bad, intonation out. This seems to be a far cry to the BL choir I heard years back.

Green Road's is way better (though with its blemishes too) but I don't like St. Tre's. If you would have bother even listening to the others, you would have read our comments there. As such, you didn't so I should be the one asking you "have you listened to St. Teresa's and Green Road's singing" (through recording and not live. We all know the recording is where we find the most flaws)

I am disappointed at BL choir. It used to be held in high esteem 5 years back. Compare the BL choir of 2004 to this one... That's really quite a gap. Dont try acapella if you can't, the intonation is totally out for the BM song. And what was that fugue part??? The men can't get the first subject in tune (Eb for tumpuan)... too flat and the counter subject arrangement remains dubious... BI song is okay except the sopranos go out at the top notes... And why got girls pulling skirt? Eyes wandering.

Choir competition IS about professionalism. Unfortunately you can see a lot of distracting motions which affect the marking (this includes hand tapping, sideways glancing, AND skirt pulling). Does one need to appear on tv to be qualified to give a comment? And I am not taking grammar lessons from people who can't even bother to write "you" or add a plural to "exercise"
