i use black tea, too. i noticed my ends were incredibly strong in shorter amount of time. i like lightly spritz my ends a couple times of week and seal with castor oil. sometimes i spritz my scalp a couple of times a week to help with the shedding.
I do a similar regime to yours. I use the black tea as a final rinse and after towel dry the hair its certainly strong and soft. I noticed after air drying my hair (it's relaxed) it was thick in comparison to before. I obviously sprayed my apoghee leave in conditioner, moisture my hair and sealed it with oil. It certainly is thick, soft and very moistured. Keep up with your regime... I certainly have learn't a lot from your version of using black tea as a final rinse & it has proved successful.
Hey Nunaa, comment tu va ? Thanks for the tip, great video coe d'habitude. I'll try that one, my hair is doing so much better, thanks 4 the encouragement. Do your thing hon. God bless.
I found whilst making your tea rinse add 1-2 tablespoons of natural honey to the mixture, that help stop the drying protein effect of the black tea rinse.
@nunaavane Hi , no this will only work as a good method if you apply the tea rinse inbetween the conditioner and the final rinse stage like me, of course it you leave the tea rinse on, then this would not be practical . just very, very sticky lol ?
@nunaavane thanks Nunaa. I did it and it reduced the shedding. I am pleased. I am going to keep doing it until it stops shedding completely. I used it a bit similarly to Tracy though. I used it in between conditioners. Too chicken to leave it in my hair like you do. :/ Thanks again
Once again Nunaa to the rescue. I just have to touch my hair and it comes out in balls! :O not ok!! Just ordered some black tea. Plus Nunaa, I found the keracare hydrating poo without sulfate, and the humecto without mineral oil in UK, maybe you can find it in france too.
@BarbeeLuv1 well it really does, i just did one yesterday ! i really love it, i will keep on doing it that way, just because i leave it on, i am in the shower & i get it EVERYWHERE, scalp & hair length :-)
i do them at least 2 x month as a final rinse yes
How often are you doing the Black Tea Rinses? Your hair does look very soft. I'm so sorry I didn't start the Black Tea Rinse when you started. I did it and felt so stupid that I didn't try it sooner.
I think it would be effective to use the black tea in a spritzer bottle and then it can be a "Black Tea Leave-in". But this is great!!! I'm going to use the black tea as a spritzer. Great video!
@nunaavane It makes my hair softer and my scalp itches at less now that I have been using green tea in my hair. On the few occasions I need to rid my hair of knots and tangles, I will use the green tea to help me.
@mishsamuels well i never heard that, natural can also do black tea rinses, but hey, i am relaxed, lol, so maybe do your experience & share with us :-)
do u have to shampoo and deep condition before putting the black tea bag in the hair when appling black tea bag do u leave it in the hair or wash it out after if you leave it in the hair do you add regular moisturizer to the hair
@DivaLady2b well it def HAS something to do with the whole growth, but there is no miracle product that will grow hair like a charm, it's more about consistency

Nuna, I had finals this week and I will contribute a lot of my extra shedding and a bit of breakage to that... I will make sure to try this :) thanks so much for taking the time to deliver all this great info!!!! God Bless :)
@picpeach hi there, i will ALWAYS use the henna, lol, the tea will just be a final rinse, after my wash is over ! like i usually rinse my hair last with cold water, now i will rinse with tea :-)
henna has nothing to do for me, it is always every 4 weeks :-)
I like the way you are minimizing manipulation of your hair (i.e. air drying, relaxing every 12 weeks, low combing styles) and deep conditioning. That is why your hair is thriving a lot :-)
@curliefro ABSOLUTELY ! oh my, thanks a lot ! this will be my answer from now on, to all of my new subbies, lol, i am copying-pasting it right now :-) lol
i saw Traycees vid on the rinse too. This looks like something I shold try LOL. I like the way you did it and im glad its working for you. They sell Lipton in France?? LOL
your hair is looking sooo thick and full. you're doing a great job! i did a black tea rinse last wk and luved it-it made my hair feel really strong!what relaxer r u thinking of switching to?TIA
When you did the tea rinse, I didnt see you mention rinsing the tea out of your hair. Do you leave it in and let it air dry or rinse it out? I never heard of this treatment. I think i'll try it out tomorrow ; )

OMG! I love that song...cracks me up...Well, you have REALLY made me feel better about my shedding.... I am 11 weeks post and I've been VERY concerned about my shedding... so much that I have an appointment with a dermatologist in a couple weeks. But I shed about the same amount you did during my last wash! Whew! I guess I need to know how much is "normal"... thank you! GREAT progress and info!
LOL at the way you said that you can "find Lipton in every country". I am sure if you had not said that someone would have definitely asked where they could find Lipton tea. I thought that was so cute.

Nunna, I have to try this. but I have the garlic in my fridge that I still going to do this week. You also have to let me know what works better, the black rinse or the garlic? I love this video it was very informative by the way your hair looks so full and longer too can't for your relaxer results

Does Black Tea Rinse strengthen your hair as well?
Don't you think it would be easier for you to apply the BTR using a color applicator bottle? That way you can concentrate on your scalp and stuff.

Nunna, I have to try this. but I have the garlic in my fridge that I still going to do this week. You also have to let me know what works better, the black rinse or the garlic? I love this video it was very informative by the way your hair looks so full and longer too can't for your relaxer results
