I work for ECI, it is sad to hear about all the budget cuts to our programs. Changes must happen now. We can't serve families and babies and help them meet the full potential if the budget is slashed. The legislature needs to be aware that babies and toddlers of today are our future generation of employable and educated workers or they can become the generation facing mental illness and prison. Which would you choose? I'd like to continue meeting my goal by helping families meet their goals.
The bottom line? This Congress is willing to throw out the babies, with the dirty bath water. The priorities are so skewed, they are willing to enact HR1 which will make for a generation of uneducated, undernourished, unsupported children, in unemployed, unhoused families. That may seem fine for those of you, speaking to the legislators here, who live in a nice brownstone in a lovely Georgetown neighborhood, pulling in health care rivaled by none due to your station, but take a walk in reality
