The FR buys many US Treasury bonds each year, but they rebate the interest payments back to the Treasury each year, so it's cheaper for the US to sell bonds to the Fed than it is to any other institution, foreign or domestic. Other banks are allowed to buy T-bills, why not Federal Reserve branches? You really should stick to American Idol.

here's a list of states that have closed/semi-closed primaries -that means unless you are a registered Republican ,you will NOT be able to vote for Ron Paul in the critical primary election. If you live in Az,Ct, DE,FL,KY,MD,MA,NY,OK,OR,SD,Ut,or West Va , get to the local election office and switch to Republican - I'd hate to see you not be able to vote Ron Paul in the primary where it counts most ! He was also a social conservative. One can have libertarian viewpoint without being a (L)ibertarian party member. (L)ibertarians began riding on Republican coattails as soon as they discovered what a joke the (L)ibertarian party was to mainstream conservatives. That's the lesson RP learned back in '88.
