Thanks Mate the layout looks great and the shop as well, will be my destination next visit..James from Australia going on line to check you guys out...
Roger, this three part video of yours should win over any serious railfan and model railroad hobbyist for sure! I for one will spread the word and you can definitely expect some orders from me here in the Lone Star State. I just sent a private message inquiring about one item I've been trying to purchase for some time now? Hopefully you can help me out with that purchase? Great videos my friend!
@retrainrun Yes, that is correct. I'm sorry, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it, but the bottle is shaped like a steam engine. Ask your local hobby store for that product. But don't experiment with just any, make sure you have the correct stuff or look into liquid track cleaner. That'll work good too.
Thanks a lot awill try that rightaway, and you're probably right about the switches. It's this what is call power frogs? and you can count me as asubscriber.
First I envy you're layout second I want to know how you're SOUTHERPACIFIC switcher .works so well.I have un Athers and it stall at every switch, and I clean my track and weel alot and stll have the problem.I also use that cheap atlas flex trac. Any sggestions would be appreciated, thank you.
@retrainrun Thank you for your comment. Regarding your switcher, it sounds like it might be the type of switches you may have. Sometimes you may need to feed power to all sections of the switch to ensure proper connection in electricity. The throw switch itself may be slightly bent, allowing the engine to change tracks, but not good enough for a good electrical connection. ALWAYS have clean tracks. I use liquid smoke on both engine wheels and track, followed by a clean clothe.
It's very important to have clean wheels and track. Make sure you leave no residue of cleaner on tracks or wheels either. To clean your wheels, try putting liquid smoke on a paper towel. Lay that on the track and let your engine run on top of the paper towel. Lift the engine off the tracks - just enough to let the wheels get the power through the track and make the wheels spin, but don't let go. This is one method I use to cleans those trucks. Does anyone have another idea?
@markdeaf2010 Hi.... Sorry, I thought I had the address listed at the end of the video. If it's not there, the store is located not far from Sacramento, California, in a town called Lodi. I not only have them as a client, I've been in model railroading for 30 years. I can say I've visited MANY train stores and have not seen one like this store. It's absolutely the best stocked and displayed store you'll ever see. The address is: 105 S. Sacramento St., Lodi, CA. (209) 334-5623. Do visit!
I actually filmed and edited this video for my client. If you find the Youtube person listed as Railroad Junction, you can respond to his video. Sorry about this being so confusing. I'm just his camera guy who puts these videos together for him. I do know his DCC engines with sound, etc, run around $225 or so, and without DCC, they range in the low $100's. His prices are VERY reasonable and I suggest you going on his website. Railroadjunction@att.net for any other questions. Thanks
hey friend how much do you got on that chicago and northwestern locomotive up on the top shelf...its right next to the santa fe locomotive???? thanks chris........

Looks like a cool store but Caboose Hobbies in Denver still claims to be the "worlds largest model train store"!
