Ferrari is my number 1 brand, i love it to death.
But the GT-R is an amzing car, only an idiot would not recognize it, and for it´s price, non millionare people can actually get Ferrari performance, it has my respect for sure.
I've driven this car and the SLR McLaren. Both are front-engine, RWD, 600+ hp supercars, but the Ferrari is so much better at speed. When you get over 100 mph in the SLR, it gets extremely twitchy and the chassis can't keep you on the road while handling all the power. The Ferrari was much more planted but useless in traffic and in town. The McLaren is pretty comfortabe in town, but it feels enormous and the brakes either stop the car immediately or do nothing at all. The R8 V10 is the best
Its a wonderful car beautiful and perfect. If i were to buy one though Id ge it with a regular 6 speed transmission, and the traction control would have to be off all the time.
The turn in problem hes experiencing is very easy to fix. He just needs to bring it to an alignment stand and dial in some more camber and possibly a little more toe.
They deliberately set it up to understeer from the factory for it to be safer, but thats very easy to fix

Yeah but top end the GTR doesn't have a chance. The F430 Scuderia will hit its maximum of 198mph before the GTR will get to 193mph. It may not be a big gap between the cars but the GTR power is all mid ranged on the Revs. And again it doesn't feel special. In a Ferrari you feel yourself being thrown back into the Seats. In the GTR its just a car getting to 193mph but hardly any drama. Its not Exciting to Drive. GTR is great piece of Engineering but it will never be a Ferrari!!!

Your OPINION on the GTR's looks is thankfully not universal.
Ferrari has done nothing new with the scuderia's looks.
the GTR costs a little more than 3 times less than the scuderia.
the GTR has a considerably SMALLER engine that is only 20hp shy of the scuderia.
the GTR is ALL WHEEL DRIVE as opposed to the scuderia being RWD.
the GTR has BETTER mileage.

Look, i'm not doubting Ferrari's racing pedigree and exotic appeal, i do like Ferrari you know, don't get confused.
One point about "hand-made" cars however, although it is nice to know that there are people who are below you putting your own car together with their own hands, in terms of efficiency and reliability, i would rather have my car made by machines that are far better at their job than their human creators are. Looks, performance and sound are all relative for different people.

Machines don't make a better car. When a car is hand made I can guarantee you that 110% quality goes into every single nut and bolt. And don't make the mistake of thinking that the people who build Ferrari's are "below" the buyer. Most of them do it for free, not to make a living. And I can assure I would do it for free too. How many people get to go to work and know that they will be working on Ferrari's all day long. I would kill to be able to say that

companies like that are not as concerned with a Ring' time as Nissan, Chevy and Dodge.....yet.

I have a friend who is a nissan Technician and was telling us on a Night out that they had 3 GTRs come in 2 with Transmission problems and the other needing a 3rd service since its been bought in April. A GTR V-Spec is £135.000 and another 5K you can have a Ferrari which will hold its value.

I respect the 599 but not for the price the GTR is just showing that heritage and the badge means nothing. I mean 14K for new brakes just to make it perform what it should have done for 190K...

Yeah but the £36k for Brakes is Nissan Fucking Customers in the Ass. And the GTRs i am talking about are the one with Software Updates. 2009 models got the Software update to launch the car from 3000rpm. The cost of a new Transmission is £12.495 in the UK. The GTR are just Headache to keep on the road without something going wrong. And i know alot of people who have bought them and sold them within the month.

Yeah 14K plus how much for the front brakes which are the same as the FXX brakes. 130K is still f430 sud and the GTR can match that in a drag and out perform it on track, so the Spec V with its new bits should be the best price supercar...

Yeah but top end the GTR doesn't have a chance. The F430 Scuderia will hit its maximum of 198mph before the GTR will get to 193mph. It may not be a big gap between the cars but the GTR power is all mid ranged on the Revs. And again it doesn't feel special. In a Ferrari you feel yourself being thrown back into the Seats. In the GTR its just a car getting to 193mph but hardly any drama. Its not Exciting to Drive. GTR is great piece of Engineering but it will never be a Ferrari!!!

There are plenty of different numbers on the website, it all depends on driver, conditons, etc, etc. There are times for the GTR that are as slow as 7:55, and as quick as 7:28. There are 5 or more GTR tests and there is only one Scuderia test done by an unreliable source. Its faster than the Enzo.

Yeah their are also numorous times where the GTR almost touches 8 minutes. There are atleast 5 different times for the GTR. Only one for the Scurderia. The Scuderia beat the Enzo on Mugullo, the Ferrari test track. With some more runs it will be right up there with the GTR. The Lp560 will beat the GTR to. They have yet to get a real run in with that also. Also Ferrari isn't all about performance. The Nissan is, at the end of the day you're still driving a boring Nissan. Ferrari>Nissan

i totally understand that, and its my problem with cars like the GT-R. theres no exclusivity what so ever. any douche who doesn't know shit about cars can own them. but in the 599 case....i dont find that car worth it..at all. there's nothing really special about it, from what i see. hell, i'd just get a 430 tbh or an lp560-4, dont have to have 2 cars if i got one of those.

I think i like the 599GTB because is a Ferrari and is confortable, i own a bmw316CI so it would be the platinium improvement. I was looking in Forza mag at a grey GTB and it wasn´t nothing special, there was a spider white and a 430 blue marine also, but thouse are very less is more. The color plays an important role. I wouldn´t take one grey GTB599 hehehe. Got to be red or black or blue.
