You don't need that specific Memory Card. Simply make a folder named "VIDEO" (no quotations) onto the memory device of your choice. The ps3 should recognize it, and you are set.

@eatthemoon13 You can just download torrents and then move them over to your ps3 via dvd or flash drive. The best format is .Mpeg4 because they are of higher quality but also of higher size. I recommend a 8 or 16gb flash drive so you can get the highest quality vids. Some are 10gb

I have a way to simply copy AVI format movies directly to the ps3 VIA Sd card. Its very fast and easy. Beats using this conversion program.

you could simply use your pc, connect it to the router, install a software like TVersity (freeware) and then look for the option "search for media servers" on your ps3 and voila full access to your shared folders on the pc, i have this with my external hdd and it works great, using this now for a year or so, no hassle copying movies to the internal ps3 hd, just select the movie press triangle and select "copy" - easy as that.

Get a usb jump drive and do the same as you do with the sd card. Stick the usb into the usb slot the controllers plug into. Go to main menu and highlight usb drive. Then press triangle and select Display All. The files you added to the usb drive should show up.

Yes there is. You need media player 11 on your PC to do it and may need to adjust your firewall settings. You can also stream music and photos from your pc. I can't post the link but use the online ps3 manual and look under settings for media server connection. Or type "ps3 media server" connection into google and the link I would give you is the top of the list!

Using video9 to convert is not a problem. Why can I not stream from PC to PS3 after conversion?

The profile that I use is straightforward MP4. The file is saved within the PS3 folder on the PC. When searching for this folder on the PS3 its not there but I can see all the other films saved on PC. The process works when copying the converted film/file and then transferring it to the USB mem stick and plugging it in the PS3 but I dont want that. I want to stream direct.
