One reason i love the gt3 more than any other 911 is because it revs to higher rpms than any other 911, which really makes it sound like a race car.

I'm not really sure what the point of the standard GT3 is anymore. I mean if you want outstanding performance on and off track, and you want a nice ride and plush interior with all modern comforts, then you go for a Turbo S. If you want an all wheel drive high performance car for the track which is stripped down for minimum weight, you go for the GT3 RS. In my eyes the standard GT3 doesn't really have a place anymore. Still, I wouldn't mind one.

Rabbibunny, the PDK sucks. It's slow. I agree with you that Direct Injection would be nice for a road car but would offer little in a racing car - thus it doesn't have it for homologation.

Very nice, but not that much of a jump from the Mk1. They've left both direct fuel injection and PDK out as options, unlike with the new Turbo, for better or worse. I guess it's more hard core than the Turbo, but would it outperform it? It probably would at somewhere like Cadwell, but not on the Nordschleife.

It is a big jump, as always on the GT3, better aero, more downforce, more power...just quicker than a Turbo on every track because it is much more light and have better suspensions settings for track.
