i have to disagree with you on this. if you check out the election method that the US use....it is actually more chaotic than Taiwan's election. just simply ask yourself, how can you count votes when almost every state uses different voting systems? (some use stamps, some use pounch cards, some even use electric voting machine which is EASILY hackable). think about how Bush won the 2000 election. everyone know he cheated！

Al Gore lost his own state. In a Republic system, all we care about is how many states are behind you. In our system, what matters is not the popular vote but the electoral college. I think I know democracy pretty well. Do you know one of the first democracy in human history asked all her neighboring countries to submit to its might because they are far superior than them are? She also picked fights all over the places followed by her eventual defeat. Well, she actually dragged down all her neighbors and they all got conquered by an empire (or a Republic because it had senators).

Assuming Taiwan election laws are similar to the US one (i.e. a Republic). Election format is always left to the local government.

而每個州的選票也都不一樣不但沒有規格的限制且印的也亂七八糟，有些選票根本就跟衛生紙差不多。在美國這個選舉制度的問題在每次選舉的時候百分之百都會被拿出來批評。只是都沒人鳥。我個人認為，就算不統一，也起碼要有制定出先規格來吧～ 若舉例的話，2000年布希的那場選舉就是最好的例子。
