It makes me think of my friend who intentionally jumped from the 9th floor of his dorm a few years ago. Everyone was in such disbelief. It will always be "unclear just what went wrong" for him, but I think he did it to gain a kind of freedom he could never obtain from here.

But I realize that this song was not written for or about a suicide.

Another reason SF trumps Seattle. Alright, my thoughts: I really like the song. I like the idea behind the name, but I don't like the name. In the song, as lyrics, it's good, but as I title it's not my favorite. The guitar really works with this one. It's simple. It sounds pretty good in it's current state. I would say maybe add a little bit to the hook - which otherwise has the potential of being classic Lombardo. And also maybe defining the bridge a little bit more from the rest of the song.Really reminds me of oldschool singer-songwriter/Al Stewart-esque-type song. It's different from your other piano driven ballads or rockers - really laid back and almost folksy, which I realy like. Nice work.
