ive noticed that among the street fighter characters, chun-li's character is often the subject of debate in terms of who is the perfect person to potray her. i'd agree as to why it's hard though. chun-li's demure yet dominant and strong personality is kind of hard to portay. you'd need someone with class yet with the brawls to do it

A few of those look right on the money, but that's Ｏｎｌｙ as far as looks go. Some of them could NEVER play those roles because they have no idea how to fight or (in Paris' case), no idea how to even do an action sequence.

We have to get past the looks and start matching "Capability" and "Authenticity." Kristin Kruek is good enough because she looks asian. But I can't see Tony Jaa as Ryu. I can think of a few martial artists who would conceive a believable Ryu; Rain Bi (Ninja Assassin); Takeshi Kaneshiro (Returner, Onimusha). I liked Daniel Craig choice (almost perfect match and he can fight too).

I'd like to see more unknowns being cast in these adaptations more than hollywood celebrities. Its getting tired

I think the best way to cast a Street Fighter movie would to follow the example of the game- go outside of the U.S. and look around the world. There are actors out there who resemble the SF character far more than what anyone has thought of so far.
