Thank you for your comment. I read about this loop hike in a guidebook & did it one day on a whim. Began in cloud and rain, but ended in glorious sunshine & great views. I wish you all the best for when you take this trail.
This is one of my favorite hikes. I started at the no'alolo trail and made the loop back to the parking lot at the Awa'awapuhi trail head where someone picked me up. That razorback ridge where you filmed from was problably the most awesome place to be anywhere on any of the islands or the world. I highly recommend this trail to anyone who views this and is planning a trip to kaua'i. Thanks for the memories
It's the Awaawapuhi Trail, which is about 3 miles in length, starting from Waimea Canyon Drive & ending at the NaPali coast. The outward trip is mostly downhill through lush forest, and this view comes very unexpectedly at the end. For a longer day hike, I left canyon road on the Nualolo trail which takes you to the NaPali also, then joined to the Awaawapuhi via the Cliffs trail - it can be a strenuous but very rewarding day.
We accidentally took this trail and ended up here 2 hours later! I can't believe you stood up while it was so windy. I would of been scared sh1tless. But we scooted on our butts to the very, very end of the peak you were standing on. This was worth the hike!
Thanks for your comment. I only stood up for a few minutes to shoot the video, and was scared sh#$@ess the whole time! I wish I could have gone to the end as you did - you are braver than I. Maybe next time....
I need to go here. its absolutely gorgeous and I love hiking.

I think you talked me into it. It was raining in Feb.when I was there last, so we didn't take the hike, but it sure looks like it would be worth it.

This would be a much harder trail in the rain, especially the Nualolo section (very steep, very muddy). Return soon & pray for fair weather.

Fabulous video - it was inspiring, as I am planning on doing this hike in a few months! I can almost feel the vertigo from your vantage point.
