Great review and really nice watch. I would like to buy one but you said something about counterfeit watch on ebay, do you know how can I recognize the original casio?
Hi - I own this watch and have had it for about 8 years. It has never broken despite having a taken a pounding over the years. The waterproofing is brilliant as i have dived properlly with this watch below 25m.
However a few weeks ago my battery ran out so i got it changed. However on getting it back my watch no longer beeped or admitted sound in any way. How do i change this??? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
There is a spring that sometimes fall out or get bent when the battery is replaced on most if not all G-shocks (I don't have the G-2000 yet, it's on its way!). This spring should contact the metal caseback for sound to work. Check out the watchuseek g-shock forum for additonal help. Good luck!
@chrmbly Yeah, I had the G2000 for 8 years before the plastic surround fell to bits and I were left with some wierd metal looking big ass strap watch. Anywho...I had the battery replaced at a local small jewellers a few years before it died and the bleeps and alarm never worked after that, never realised why till you just posted this!
