Good video quality please show the viewers more picture taking with your camcorder. I would like to buy one because of the beautiful color it have but I'm not sure with the 4MP picture you said it takes please.

Take a look to some pictures i took at 4mp, some widescreen, to have good low light performance use a tripod

The battery can run as long as 3 hours of continue use, but if you turn it on and off it can last as much as 3 days

great little review. I bought this camera just before Christmas and you hit on about everything good about it. It's a great camera for the money. the 10x optical zoom is nice, but the digital zoom, like most cameras, gets really pixelated if you overuse it.

You can't really compare this to a Cannon or Sony because this is meant to be a budget HD cam. Both are better camera's but for the price this is a steal. Also a pistol grip with 10x OPTICAL zoom is great.

The optical zoom goes to 10x and after that it goes to digital. It indicates how many times so you can just stop at 10x.

well okay the canon vixia is worse than the

There is different variations of the canon vixia, the Hg20 is better than the Sony HDR-XR500V I promise.

"Laughs" well I needed one that did well in low light. The canon Hg20 failed. The sony was the clear winner. I also fell the color is better. My choice. In general I don't like canon nearly as much as sony.
