  • So... what does this say about our vision of 2050 today?

  • Well they got the induction cookers and Infra-red ovens correct.. shame the rest was so far off..

  • it would look a lot more like the year 2000 if there wasn't old music playing in the background and black and white everywhere

  • We laugh at this 50 years later, but the predictions we make now for 50 years in the future will be equally as terrible. Nobody knows the future, because it really never arrives.

  • Stupid ass

  • in wee wee land

  • We'll just have to wait another 50 years! it sucks

  • In the 19th century a device was invented which can automatically make a cup of tea or coffee for you in the morning. In the 20th century it was upgraded to an electric version. In the 21st century, most people STILL manually boil a kettle and make it themselves.

  • Da faq? What were the Russians thinking?

  • @theawsomepen Czechs.

  • Lmfao WTF!!

  • only 2 were TRUE. THE microwaves and the induction cooking ; is what we use now daily;

  • @MrChristiandragoi I was about to comment the same things but, hmmm....

  • @MrChristiandragoi

The "TV shopping" is not far from online shopping (of course twhat you order has to be shipped but with 3D printers the way portrayed here might not be too far away...)

  • there's an app for everything they just did.

  • They had a lot more faith in us

  • lol way off!

  • and cancer is like flu! wel if cancer was in that video fck that would be the only thing right

  • bull

  • BULLSHIT!!!

  • ROK 2000!

  • wow, they had crazy though back then! anyway I think we'll have

    electromagnetic oven in 2013!

  • @SilverHeavyLobster we already have them :D

  • The Soviets couldn't even build a color TV that worked well. All thru the '70s and at least into the '80s, the primary cause of apartment fires in major Soviet cities was that their Gorizont ("Horizon") brand TVs (principally in Minsk, Belarus), EXPLODED! Guess that's what happens when you have no system of legal torts, no Underwriter's Laboratory, no consumer watchdog organizations, etc.

  • @50zcarsman what does that have to do with anything?Besides the logo is from a czech television network!

  • i want more of those videos, please!

  • Meanwhile the sale of actuators has gone up 400%

  • I like that they predicted skype.

  • isnt it funny that the only real things that have advanced in recent years is cell phones and computers hahahahaha everything else is slow... we are still using tha same old clunky flinstone's space rocketships from the 50's to go to space ... womp womp womp major fail

  • Alot of those things are doable with today's technology, but kinda needless and expensive for the average person. Manufacturers are the only one's who really need stuff like that. Such as robotics that measure exact amounts of ingredients and blend them, ect.

  • WHERE ARE THE WOMEN WITH THREE TITS?

  • it pass 2000 and where is my time machine or flying cars or talking robots

  • Don't know....never been to Russia to see how they live....but it probably ain't that good. I heard microwaves were illegal over there.

  • @5till12 stupid comment of the month. and btw, this video is from Czechoslovakia.

  • @gctechs Czechoslovakia: a Russian satellite from 1948 to 1989....poor slobs....

  • Well, most of those things are either versions of things we have or could have if we'd just do it. I could rig up something like that ingredient-measuring device in my kitchen if I wanted to, but is it really that much easier than just putting the amount you want in the bowl/skillet/pot? I'm looking forward to 2015 and seeing the Back to the Future 2 world.

  • in 2000, the only thing happen is they replace the old bedspring with no spring. that wont necessary

  • why don't i ever see facebook on this videos, it now rules the world

  • It this what the year 2000 would look how can make stuff from 2000 then?

  • Eh. Full of crap

  • Looks like McDonalds

  • heh maybe 3013

  • Actually most of what they said is right, just not exact: microwave oven, Skype for video calls etc.

  • it looks the same except every one is broke, pancake tvs, stupid politicians followed by a whole lot of retards

  • lol we don't have punch cards anymore

  • Pfft In Your Dreams

  • Pfft In Your Dreams

  • The kitchen on the future looks like a pain in the butt to clean and use.

  • Epic failed !

  • If they were mostly wrong about this.... What happens in 2062?

  • a womens dream

  • Some of this stuff wouuld be easy to make. COME ON SCIENTISTS!

  • Notice this was all in the kitchen....

  • Expectations: a futuristic kitchen.

Reality: the same appliences just newer.

  • its wonderful.....no Negroes in 2000!

  • Hmm. I thought they would have predicted more color.

  • Imagine if microwaves were that big today! The first microwave was made in 1957 and looked like a super large oven, and get this they were 3000$!

  • This is pretty interesting.

  • Funny but all is true on this film. Great film from 1957!

  • so when's this happening again ?

  • Czech language sounds funny:)

  • i cant wait to go back to 57.. looove the tropedo bra era!

  • he speaks ukrain

  • If this happend in 2000, imagine the technology we would have in 2012?!

  • Actually, we are far more advanced than what they are saying. Imagine, if we want any infomation, we don't have to go to the library anymore. Many people are not even using land phones anymore and have switched to cell phones completely (I have). But what got my attention was the "Marble Countertop" where it is cool to the touch, but boils the water. In fact that technology is present and used any many homes. I still like a gas range because fo the even heating, but the other cleans easier.

  • Funny but they got the idea right.

  • they made it easy for women not to leave the kitchen

  • @xxxxd1516 saw that one coming

  • Foodstuff? Cokery book?

  • Ehhhh, close enough. I like what they said at the end. I do eat by myself in the 21st century. ;(

  • Dumb Chimps haha

  • yup but why everything in the kitchen ??/outside hahah

  • punched cards (!). And now we have windows that needs at least 5 gb of free space :(

  • Hmm... Close enough.

  • the Only thing that came out of this vision was "The Jetsons" and that barley worked.

  • I like the fact that they imagined all this but they could not even dream of the internet.

  • 0:58 women clocking in for work in the kitchen.

  • Microwaves, induction ovens, eBay, teleshopping, huge household refrigerators...

I'd say the show got its future bearings pretty much accurate!

  • this is actually somewhat accurate just dramatized

  • watch even at 2075 we wont have flying car

  • @gamerpro412 I know right

  • XD they were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off!

  • To je dobrý televizní nakupování snad předchůdce teletextu ale je fakt že se něco používá dodnes, těba ta plotna.

  • The glass oven looks cool lol

  • Idiots, they didnt know women would gain their freedom and never enter the kitchen again, except maybe to grab a box of hohos. Should have showed a man grabbing a beer and scrounging for peanut butter or hobo nacho fixins.

  • HAHAHA...LOL

  • Boy are they stupid!

  • COCKERY BOOK

  • this all looks really expensive

  • It's 2012 and where's my flying car

  • WHERE THE HELL IS MY FLYING CAR!!!!

  • PUNCH CARDS LOL They didn't think we'd be past that by 2000? wow

  • Nečekal jsem že to bude česky jen jsem hledal jak si lidi představovali budoucnost

  • punch-cards?

    no LP-ROM drives?

  • Everyone who predicts the future seems to be wrong. Unless it's something vague, like the sun rise or tide. Create your future!!!

  • lol maybe when im 60

  • They were correct on women being in the kitchen!

    Joking btw :-)

  • Some things came true some didn't happen in 2000

  • Hmm ... Accurate doses ingredients? If someone was adding doses of anything to my food I would probably call the police.

  • PFFT-

  • its 2012 anyway.....LETS JUST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!

  • the world is ending soon anyway so it doesn't matter.

  • @mjallen1308 you're a dumbass the world isn't going to fucking end I'm tired of people sayong stupid shit like that..The end of the mayhen calender!!?? Oh no!!! That must mean the world will end!!...Seriously..The world isn't going to end..

  • @izzboxer1996 Once again, good Lord. First, calm down just a bit. Second, *Mayan. Third, I was just joking. Why in the hell would anybody in their right mind think the world is going to end in 2012. But be honest with yourself, too. Given the many mysteries of our universe, I'm not knocking it in that it **COULD** happen at anytime solely based on what we know about our earth's past and not because some group of people said it would based on whatever. I don't believe anyone really knows when.

  • @mjallen1308 lol quit postin' that crap, dude!! The joke has gone to far, it's nooot funny -_- I may be raging in my other comment but it just felt so good to let that out. But yeah, sorry about that, my perosnality isn't really "HABABABABABA!!!"....

  • @izzboxer1996 the world ends for somebody every minute of every day. just be glad it isn't you!

  • @geminidefect Actually someone dies every 3 seconds..

  • no

  • ...and everyone has realised Communism is the answer to all capitalist problems!

  • i like the punched cards part

  • Damm ... i can't wait until 2000

  • Induction cooktops were predicted back then??? damn..

  • Wow I with we had that dumb government

  • they have all this stuff and more instead they release cell phones with a bunch of crap on oit and screens that u can type on to keep us busy

  • None of this stuff actually happened, but we still have some badass shit in 2012.

  • @SearingWolfe I WANT SPACE TRAVEL NOW!

  • @SearingWolfe Well... We have induction stoves!! :D.... thats about it...

  • 1. Internet shopping is still take a long time and there's no TV shopping.

    2. The fridge will keep food fresh for a quite long time (the fridge lifetime itself not included).

    3. Your mom still has to accurately pick doses of ingredients for cooking.

    4. The marble stone is cold, expensive, and unable to cooking.

    5. The cook book replaced by iPad (With cooking channel open).

    6. Like No 3 your mom still has to arrange everything.

    7. Chicken is BBQ-ed by your father in the backyard.

  • why dont we have that stuff now

  • pfft , yeah right

  • yall had a lot of dreams

  • not shown: fat women.

  • To be honest, pretty much all of those things could be done now. It's just that while they seem ideal, in reality they would be a hassle.

  • Lucky human wasnt this lazy yet...

  • They got the magnetic induction stove right. That came out around the year 2000.

  • This is what we missed out on thanks to the fast-food industry.

  • Where are the flying cars?

  • lmfao well now they were hopefull lol...love to have a kitchen like that lol

  • This would just make a womans life easier..How would that benefit society??

  • goodluck cleaning those ingredient dispensers out, especially after you get wasted and decide itd be a good idea to put chopped up mcgrittles in there

  • Broken dreams.

  • Fools! You don't put a whole turkey in the microwave!

  • What's a "cokery-book"?

  • Damnit ! We STILL haven't come up with this stuff yet !!

  • fail...

  • FUCK they seemed like they already new what they were doing! So WHY didn't they make it back then?! lol

  • @blaxicat2005 Money has been poorly invested by our leaders.

  • Ha ! They had Better stuff in their kitchen than we do in 2012 !

  • wow, if only human society would stop all the war and continue with the technology. fuck you george bush.

  • @motormaxis206 war is the best thing for technological advances

  • +1 for electromagnetic induction, i have this at home but now is 2012 not 2000 but ok^^

  • way to aim high!

  • punchcards, yep... :D

  • people tend to think about future technology based on what they think its the most modern thing TODAY... and that will always be innacurate because nobody knows what humanity will discover tomorrow... in the 50s the "mechanical" things were the latest, they couldnt even imagine that communications was going to be the biggest advance 50 years later... nowadays we think of tablets and internet as the most modern thing.., we dont know what we will discover 30 years from now

  • @visionworksdrafts They are saying maybe that we will figure out a way to send information through lazer light or store massive amounts of information in crystals.

  • WWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • Haha ya we wish

  • Wow...they had such high expectations for us. lol.

  • or just buy it from supermarket ready cooked lol

  • I wonder where that chicken is today?

  • @gardnerbm In supermarket

  • Wheres the hotpockets?

  • Little did they know everyone would just eat fast food instead...

  • they where right with the induction stove

  • Where are my punch cards :(

  • They really believed punch cards would last that long?

  • What the fuck is that electromagnetic induction

  • @1337RecklessX

Actually this has already arrived. I've an electric hot-plate thing that works on this basis.

  • I wish.

  • Its 2012 and we still dont have 1/2 these stuff...

  • lol punched cards

  • not wise to anything ja

  • not even close dudes, not even close!

  • So everything changes in the kitchen and nothing else.Must be a fat ass in 1957 who came up with this.

  • not even in 2012

  • I wouldn't want to clean that chicken roaster dome thing!

  • Sure, other than the punch cards its a dead ringer !

  • This where we would have been had we ignored the civil rights and womens rights movements.

  • fail! Like Back to the Future part 2 in three years!

  • it sounds like he's talking backwards.

  • 100% accurate, complete with black and white film..

  • WAIT IF THAT if they siad thats what is going to be in 2000 why do they have it in that time o and 2000 is so 11 years ago

  • so what everyone thinksd women as there bitch who serves there every need? and is ALWAYS in the kitchen making FOOd for YOU? you guys are pigs no wonder everyones fat because all of you expect women to make YOU food ALL THE TIME!

  • @DeathIIV Then why are women fat?
