  • Their favorite medium of clever information(not knowledge, of that they have no access to, for obvious reasons) Fox "news", Australian citizen Murdoch and the Wallstreet Journal.

  • Business of Producing class at Stern...clever and useful village idiots.

  • Technocrats, lawyers and Big Business(Industry, chemical and "eugenics"...psychiatry) were the main money and power behind this...they of course had their compliant one sided education merchant type supporters...they saw the rea$on in it all, because they are ever so clever.

  • Who is the man looking down on you all, The Man in the High Castle? Me

  • Television broadcasting in The Third Reich TV Station Paul Nipkow 1935-1944

  • So who are the village idiots exactly? ROFL!!!

  • well done man thought might have a Phillip k dick movie that is done well. to bad its not real the books great, would make a good movie

  • This sounds like the song they used in the 2001 movie "Pearl Harbor," when the Japanese pilots were getting ready and taking off from their carrier.

  • Twelve years ago, when I read the book, I would've said Brad Pitt for Joe, Jodie Foster for Juliana (but Rhada Mitchell is a great choice too), Mako for Tagomi, Nicolas Cage for Frank Frink, Robert Redford for Baynes, and so on... But Abendsen, I don't know, that's a good one.

  • How about "Debbie Doesn't Do Dallas"

  • what about Mr.Tagomi?

  • nicely done, thanks for not being dumb and trying to pass this off as real.

  • Why ethan hawke why not Justin Bieber.?

  • It's good, but the Nazis havee very very little to do with the protagonists in the book, bro. It's fascinating really, how the East totally took over the US, which I'm sure would have happened. Philip K Dick's a fuckin genius

  • just saw your trailer for high castle film, thought it was great idea for a buisness project. what about the i ching, if i was making a trailer for this book into a film i would definately include the i ching and the yarrow sticks. lol. check out my chanel, on my comic which includes alternate versions of pkd. hope you enjoy.

  • You haven't quite captured the spirit of the book there.

  • @lonegroover

I agree. The book is NOT a glorification of USA's dominion... quite the opposite!

  • @andreaprodan Why do you think so?

  • i wish they would make a movie off of this!

  • @TomSawyerSpongeRay No, that refers to the book "The Grasshopper Lies Heavy," which was a novel within the actual book "Man in the High Castle," which was theoretical to that fictional world and quite different from our own, although we did 'still' win the war.

You obviously didn't read "The Man in the High Castle" and that makes your comments sound very kooky and out of context.

  • hahaha awesome! I just read this book, and this captures what might be the enormous emotional impact if it were ever made into a movie.

  • This looks really good. If this was for a real film I'd want to see it.

Are you guys going to make movies someday?

  • The idea is nice. I tend to think tho that Germany may have lost the war, but not the faschist ideology. Just look at our so-call "democracies" right now... "yes we can" vs "heil hitler" what's the difference?

  • Excellent start. Now, please make the movie. :)

  • good work!

  • This is an awesome fake trailer, good job friend.

  • i am not shitting you there will be The Man in the High Castle mini series in HBO

  • It's the better fake trailer I've saw!

  • Great news! Ridley Scott and Tony Scott will produce a miniseries for BBC with the creator of MI-5 adapting!

  • That makes you think..... thank goodness it didn't end that way.

  • @DEP717

    not if your german

  • @TheAlliesCanHelp Maybe, maybe not. Hitler's Germany wasn't a paradise for a lot of Germans either. Lots of Germans were killed by the Nazis.

  • This is along the same lines as Fatherland and Harry Turtledove's "In the Presence of Mine Enemies".

    They're worth reading.

  • Very poor lettering, all of it. otherwise not bad.

  • Nicely edited trailer. :-)

  • where is the soundtrack from?

  • It's from the movie King Arthur by Hans Zimmer and the title of this track is "Do you think I'm Saxon?"

  • well the idea of nuclear atcks on afrcia why the hell afcrica has massive resources yet untaped

  • Very creative!

  • as in the description, its a fake trailer we made for a class.

  • @scatcoitus no its taken from the movie Fatherland (partially) its a cool movie, i would recomend it

  • Awesome trailer! Good job! I pray that they make a movie about my favourite SF novel.

  • Note Rutger Hauer in "Fatherland" shown in clip. Rutger starred in Blade Runner,(Based on PKD's DADoES). ;)

  • A film adaptation to this book, if done right would have to be big in scope as the "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep," adaptation. Things would have to be adjusted so that it could make sense on scream like they did for "Blade Runner," but if done right it could be an electrifying film. If Zack Snyder does "WATCHMEN" right, which is a tough cookie to adapt, then I would put him up to the task to adapt "The Man in the High Castle."

  • This is a book that should be mandated to be read in school along with "Brave New World." It vividly points out a possiblity of what could have happened if the "Axis Powers" won the war, and one lesson in my opinion that could be learned from it is that History is written by the winners, never the losers.

  • Fantastic rendering of PKD's vision. "The Man in the High Castle" is one of my favourite books of all time! Check out my alternate history of WW2 based on the Turtledove Worldwar series.

  • great Trailer. Its very cool. When will someone actually adapt this great Phillip K. Dick story into a movie like this.

  • I think the Man in the High Castle shouldn't be adapted for film. It seems to daunting of a task for any filmmaker to handle.

How can someone convey the convergence of the Tao in the book? How can you effectively portray Tagomi's hazy Hell-journey through San Francisco? His battered heart after the Nippon Times attack?

Just seems so unrealistic to think we've come far enough to pull off the Man in the High Castle without making another damn Minority Report.

  • And who to play Nathaniel Hawthorne in this movie ?

  • Do you mean Hawthorne Abendsen? Our pitch for class had modified and merged some of the characters for the adaptation - Ethan Hawke would be playing the author character.

  • @akoithra I think you could do better than Ethan Hawke. Someone with more gravitas is needed. Not some pencil neck has been.

  • man in the high castle is one of the best xx century novels, one of my favorites, hope to see in movies

  • Nice work on this man, would love to see the movie...
