  • @01235shank

Or just the names of the songs, which are often on one of the music download sites, or youtube, but many 'gems' are not.

Victoria Bitter was my favorite beer. Does it still exist?

  • @01235shank Unfortunately VB is still around

  • @GH700v

I also remember Toohey's and Powers as other beers I liked. But I never cared much for Foster's (which we've always had in Canada).

    Cheers :)

  • @GH700v

Oh, and by the way, is Ian Moss still around? I guess I could check on that on Google. Did he make other good albums besides this one? If so, could you tell me, so I could try to get some of the songs or entire albums from the internet. I'm tired of the 400 or more songs I've accumulated over the years and am constantly looking for new good music.

Cheers again, from northern Canada - 500 miles north of Vancouver (and Whistler - which seems to be half Australians, which is neat). :)

  • @01235shank Yeah he ( mossy ) is still around. Cold Chisel get together about once a year or two, now to do a concert somewhere last one was at the v8 supercars in sydney i think? Happy Easter!

  • @lawriestorey

    Happy Easter!

  • I've travelled (backpacking) to Aus in 89/90 (from Canada), and was totally in love with this album. What memories to go with the beauty and good times of travelling there! I heard lots of Aussie music on that 7 month trip, but can't remember the names of most of the groups (talking about groups that weren't internationally famous).

I'd love to someday have a Canada-Australia cd exchange of top songs from our countries - with a minority of songs being internationally famous.

  • @01235shank

Same thing as my previous post addition, no need to exchange cd's if the songs are available on the internet. Do Australians also feel that 'music' is a thing of the past?

  • It's now 2011... I haven't seen that clip since '89. Awesome memories,,,

    Basic, honest, meat-and-bones rock.

  • how could I have forgetten how hot this man was !!!

  • Ian Moss and the Cold Chisel crew rocks .. it's a shame it's so hard to come by Jimmy Barnes stuff here in Europe .. and whatever happened to Ian Moss .. ? Did he release anything after this album?

  • @joahom Yes, he just released an album last year, or perhaps it was the beginning of this year.... one or the other. :P

  • @KieraJayne Oooh.. sweeet! Is it any good?

  • @joahom I have not heard it.

  • In school our teacher asked us all what we wanted to be when we grew up. Some people said doctors, some said policeman. I just looked at my teacher and said 'I want to be Mossy when I grow up.' My teacher smiled at me knowingly and gave me a high five.

  • damn the Aussie outback looks great. Ian Moss makes really great videos

  • A classic song from my early years. Mossy is a legend and cannot wait to get his new solo on westside 53rd.

  • great song for being on the road.

  • This is like a Cold Chisel after party with Don Walker writing it, Steve Preswich on the drums and the great Ian Moss lending his vocals and f*#king brilliant guitar

  • Awesome song!

  • There is a beauty about this clip- that whole notion of driving nowhere in particular, with no worries in the world- not money or time constraints or any other commitments. Just you and the open road and wherever it takes you. Surely I'm not the only one who's had that fantasy?

  • Definitely not! I've always wanted to just walk off...

  • @Bennyboy1985 yep for sure

  • Just fantastic... love this guy. This is my kind of music... takes me back to the days we just cant have again, bittersweet.

  • Gee, I like the part where he throws something into the desert. It's most probably a pebble, of course, but I like to imagine that it's a frog.

  • the best wot a champ

  • aussies version of keith richards

  • One of the reasons Neighbours was good back in the 80s and early 90s was because it had Ian Moss music on in the background!

  • Yep, all these 1989 songs are the soundtrack to my childhood! Summer days spent on the farm and at the local pool and growing up in OZ in general, a truly magical thing.

  • Are you sure it isn't Ian MOTH - they're always in phone booths

  • Only FIVE ratings for this song?

    Are you kidding me??
