I can totally relate with this video. I use the microphone on my phone and record original songs as Voice Memos too. I also get frustrated when the chords or lyrics just don't sound right. But it's all worth it in the end because the finished product, the song, can reach out and touch others who listen. The joy of songwriting. Keep it up! :)

I love this! I love that you take the time to make it perfect for you. The time you take sure makes this truly special. It reminds me of those dreams you try so hard to move you try so hard to say something and nobody hears you. Also it's love and heartache to have so much and feel like you are stuck in your lovers shadow. A song means something different to everyone. Music touches and speaks to the soul.

That was really good. I can totally relate to the part about you creating the perfect chorus. It seems like the idea in our heads are always better than the actual performance. We tend to over think things and make them more complicated then they have to be.

I'll be honest, the first half was very hard to watch, especially after seeing playful fun videos like "Magazine" and "Girl Gone Good." But after seeing the second half, it puts the first half into complete perspective.

I've been watching from the sidelines for awhile, hoping that you would take off like a shot. You are one of the few people I know who is consistently good, and if you keep at it, you will hit it big, I have no doubt at all. Keep at it. Never lose faith in yourself. Mahalo.

Yes! It is struggle, almost all the time--though I know you have moments of inspiration when something wonderful happens and it seems to come magically. As someone said, "1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Whoever said "blood, sweat, and tears" had definitely been there.

I hope it never stops being worth it for you. I'm on your side: you can count on me for moral support. And if your music starts trending toward the less-worthwhile, I'll let you know.
