The last time I flew Sylmar was August, 1974 on an 18' Flexi Flyer. The smog was so bad that by the time I landed, my eyes were buring and filled with tears. But it was tons of fun! Try putting some cotton from a cotton ball over your mic. It will stop the wind moise but let all the ambient sound come through.
