  • Beautiful song...have to say Bernie is my favourite, super voices..thank you for posting hotsexybch

  • did they girls ever wear bras

  • Very very infectious song, it BITES!

  • Gorgeous ladies and the yellow outfits are cool in a kitsch way.

  • one of my favourites! just awesome:P

  • Heard this in the shopping centre the other day, forgot all about the Gorgeous Nolans. Hail the miracle of Youtube, this track has a great melody and bass line. The girls subtle dance moves are so cute, not sexualised in any way, unlike the great female voices of today that dress and dance like ho's. And @ biddy, indeed, smashing bottoms!!

  • @CloudAttack Nicely summed up.

  • I must have watched this video at least 10 thousand times when it was released.

I wore the video recorder out. No one was allowed to speak or move in the room when the Nolans came on. I just love that little dance they do at 1:10. Hot arses, good looking girls, great singing, great song what more can I say.

  • Great little pop song, love it.

  • Best harmonies they ever did!

  • white people cant dance

  • @nerdflanders8710 ..and blacks who call rap 'music' need a good boot in the bollocks.

  • @jimincairns hey Im white. and mate we can;t dance.

    like the brothers can

  • this was the first LP i had bought 4 me!!

  • I know the Nolans grew up in Blackpool and this video looks as though it was filmed there. The bridge and the lake look the one in Stanley Park. Can anyone confirm. So I would guess the sand dunes at the end would be St Annes.

  • and all six got their first break from Cliff Richard

    watch?v=vat4fwlScNw

  • 1982 I got the cassette "Portrait" on my birthday and I always listened to it. For soooo many years I haven´t been thinking if them - until yesterday when I found the tape again. It´s fantastic to see all these clips on YouTube that I´ve never seen!

  • The song should be remixed and released again with the same vocals. Big Tune !!!! Proper natural singing !!!!

  • @truthhitmanisback - I was thinking the same. If I wanted a quick win with a manufactured girl band this would be the vehicle.

  • @truthhitmanisback

Sheila ?? ... there was no-one with that name.

    Bernie was the lead singer.

The 6 sisters ... Anne , Denise , Bernadette , Maureen , Linda & Colleen ... all spent some time in the group.

  • OMG you have just taken me back...I was obsessed with these guys when I was in Primary school...couldn't believe I remembered all the words...is that sad?? I so wanted to be one of the The Nolan's when I grew up!!!

  • Don't worry I was 12 and wanted to be their drummer until my dad shattered all my ambitions and told me they were in the UK!!! lol

  • just whatched their new dvd and have to say it was fantastic show they look great

  • They don't make 'em like that anymore. :)

  • Nice baby ovens.

  • Coleen must have about 12 or 13 in this video.

But looks grown up doesnt she?

  • she was 14, another vid on YT has it all in an interview with them

  • nice song!

  • smashing bottoms

  • f ck your mates go and have a good time

  • talent will always shine thru.....and they have it in spades..(especially bernie..).

  • the Buisness

  • I like this song. I also like rap. I think Kanye West could sample this and make it a hit again. Great melody..

  • I remember seeing the Nolans in concert about 30 years ago used to be so in love with Beradette there still good all these years later

Coleen was great on dancing on ice and has a fantastic peronality

  • has anyone met the nolans and does anyone know who does the speaking part in their version of when a child is born. If I ever met any of them I wouldn't know what to say. I love them all so bad.

  • met them at the winter gardens in blackpool a couple o years ago. they are really down to earth. met colleen and bernie in the toilet!!! bernie was in the bill at the time and my brother in law said evenin sarge and she laughed at him and said never heard that before!! very funny.

  • Real talent. No girl bands are as good today.

  • Does anyone know if this clip has been released on a compilation DVD? Love the song and would love to add the clip to my DVD collection.

I'm 35, God how times have changed...Thanks for the memories...

  • Reminds me of my days growing up in Scotland. What a surprise flash back. Never experienced that before. I was watching the vicar of dibley and dawn french mentions The Nolans in episode 3. I hope everyone enjoys!!

  • @c3contact Interested to hear that, it reminds me of my room in John Burnet Hall, University of St Andrews, getting up in the morning with Radio 1 on, pulling the curtains and seeing the Old Course spread out in front of me. Truly I was a privileged person then.

  • very nice song

  • Brilliant!! These girls were the biz, and still are. Bernie looks even better now but there again I was the original Nolans fan !!! All those plays on my Hereward radio show in the early 80's!!!!Great memories, I still love you Bernie, Andy Grahamme

  • daggy, dated clip, but such a great pop song!

    i'm amazed no one's covered/sampled/done a mash up yet...

  • This is my fav from the Nolans super track.

  • Another great upbeat song and they look lovely in this. It sounds a bit like Abba!

  • Niceone Shrnwarks Hunni .... Got up market now ...lol ditched the hairbrushes N use my sons Karokee now lol

I agree though Hunni " great Tune!"

  • Me and my m8ts use to dance in my bedroom with the hairbrushes to this one !

Very dated / but quite kool .....lol

  • i still do that now at the age of 36 lol great tune

  • I have loved this song since I first heard it when I was 7 years old. This is the first time I've seen the video - dated, but cool.

  • Cheezy it might be, but it's cool! Today's stars have far too many inhibitions to do stuff like that and are FAR too concerned with their image etc! Bernie's voice is SOOOO amazing too!

  • Linda was my fave because she looked a bit like a girl in my year at comprehensive school who i had a big thing for back in the 1980s..wonder if she's changed as much as linda

  • I used to like Linda Nolan because she looked a bit like a girl i had a thing for in my year at comprehensive school.. Haven't seen the girl for more than 23 years wonder if she still looks like Linda Nolan

  • deadly cool

  • Top track from the Nolans should have been a no1.

    excellent, swansafc1912

  • Lol to think I used to wear clothes like that and Loved this song so much that I used to dance in the mirror with a hairbrush...Plus i remember all the words..Gawd lol

  • Clearly graduates from the "School of dancing in time".

  • A GREAT GROUP

  • Oh yes those were the days.

  • and maureennn.. love the way they shake their butts in the beginning of the songs.. ahhh those good ole days.. i think they made a huge mistake going to disco..they were very good at pop.

  • That's a bit vain eh?

  • Pass my sunglasses - yellow suits???? Please??? Has anyone seen Bernie Nolans fitness video where she worksout to her OWN album tracks? Thanks for this gem !!!!
