  • perfect bike for cross country trips, couldn't pick a better bike, getting one in late spring and going west this summer

  • Why do you guys add music to a motorcycle video. I DO NOT want to hear music, I want to hear the motorcycle.

  • @trafficdoor true, but in this case its a picture presentation only

  • Gorgeous video. Inspiring.

  • Should be called "Jack Daniels tour, and a few other pictures:)" Love it. thanks for letting us ride vicariously through you.

  • so jealous man

  • Very cool video!

  • I bet that was an awesome trip!! Congratulations, that is a serious ride that most people don't have the nerve to do alone!! Great job on the video also. I just did a comparable solo trip from Las Vegas to Mexico, then up the coast to Canada, across the pan handle of Idaho into Montana, and back home again. I video'ed the trip if you care to check it out. I've uploaded the first 4 days and post another every Thursday.

  • Well done :)

  • I want to start small but I would eventually would love to go cross country. I love it man!

  • I drove cross country on orders once. From Havelock, NC to San Diego, CA. One of the best experiences of my life (about a year before your road trip, too). I've regretted ever since not stopping and using my two buffer travel days to enjoy the sights. Ever since I've planned another trip, but have usually thought about buying an RV to rig to my truck. Seeing this, I'm more inclined to get a bike and just ride free, man. Looks like fun.

  • Buddy you got ripped off ! I went from L.A. to Paris France non stop on a DC10 round trip for 500 bucks in 1996. Went thru 4 countries in europe on trains and the whole 2 weeks trip including air fair food lodging was about $2300.00. And i've been thru 46 states in trucks. You paid more for the bike then what i paid for a 3 bedroom house in Kansas. You got me beat with the Hilton though. I've never been in one for more then a few hours for drinks or to sneak in the pool lol.

  • nice bike, nice trip and nice adventure!

how do you over come the coldness problem?

  • Bravo my fellow biker! The end brought tears to my eyes. I start my solo bike trip cross country this Saturday. I may or may not be doing it for the same reasons you did yours, but your last 5 seconds of the video says it all. Man I loved this video..

    God speed~

  • I would love to do this. If I ever get a decent enough motorcycle, resources, and time, this is one thing I would like to check off my bucket list

  • Nice video. I just got back from doing the same thing. Rode from DC to San Diego solo. Best time of my life!

  • wonderful trip!

i wish to do the same some day

  • @yopladas

same here, still a dream of someday doing this....before age catches up with me....

  • You are a good example of what it means to be free in today`s world.

    Nice vid!

  • @AlienCST2

    yes to that..

  • Nice......gonna do it this summer

  • Thanks for the vid and pics. I wish I had the brass to do what you did. God bless!

  • The picture you took in New Mexico of the mountain.. that is called Rabbit Ears Mountain. If you look at it just right it looks like an indian with a headdress on laying on his back. Chief Rabbit Ears is buried on the top of it. I'm from Texas but my family ranches in the area. Great Video!

  • nice trip.....you have my dreame bike.. :p

  • Looks like you took the Blue ridge Pky. to Tenn. Nice!

  • Hehe the BMW GS, perfect Adventure Bike..

  • im going from CA to PA and might push it all the way from water to water. but im going on my cbr600. your bike looks so cumphy.... =)

  • Planning something similar soon with the exact same bike. No destination though. This made me excited.:)

  • @rdhmdk

There's just people like us who love the freedom of riding......anywhere the bike takes us...

  • I think your bike is sexy. Especially infront of the Budweiser sign. Although the hunk on it is even better. ;) So glad to see you're happy to have left me behind. sniff sniff

  • been cross country in a car great experience conn-cali 8000= miles 20+ states 16 days w/a broken gas gauge.need to do again!

  • planning a northern route round trip to oregon on a 1500 kawasaki. i hope i have as much fun as you seemed to have.

  • @peterawalsh Nice, did you ever make the trip?

  • Great music & video. looks like you had a great time & visited great places. That's what it's all about.

  • Great trip! Hopefully soon I'll be doing something similar like your adventure. I don't have a GS, but I think 2009 will be the year I purchase one. What a great bike the GS is!

  • Ther is another guy who doesn t know anything about bikes! Nice trip man awsome bike! All the best!

  • WOW! What are you five years old with that comment? If I wanted to breakdown in each state I would have bought a HD!

  • So stupid!!!!

  • Oh no, another retard...

  • @method765 Holy shit, what a douchie comment. Neil Peart from the band Rush rode like 55,000 miles on his BMW after his wife and daughter died. from Quebec, going to the Arctic, around Alaska, through Mexico, down to Belize. These are bikes built to go pretty much anywhere. does Harley *cough PAINT SHAKER* make a bike that is as comfortable off road as it is ON road, not that I know of.
