Had my ankle fractured have two plates on both sides with screws.. been 3years ago since then and I can tell you right now he will never be the same again when it comes to running.. he will still be a good player but when it comes to running his ankle will give him problems.. when I say that he might be able to make a good play but he will feel it afterwards.. just hope he gets to get back to the thing he loves.. baseball good luck Stephen;)

Great video. Terrible slide. Taking off from the left foot, the right foot should have been in front of him instead of under him. It wasn't contact with the catcher, his cleats stuck in the dirt, putting torsion on the tibia/fibula and probably resulting in a spiral fracture. It is more or less the same as what Posey had. He would have been better off going Scott Cousins and taking Lucroy out!
