I know a guy that has a 150 ib Turtle and he and the Turtle get along just fine, the Turtle has never been sick and its easy to take care of them if you just know how, no matter what the size.

And for the leagal part, it is illeagal to take an Alligator Snapping Turlte from the wild as a pet, but it is prefectly leagal to optain one threw captivity breeding
