  • Yes it uses fuel to do what power striders do. But the fuel is not your own fuel, it is the diesel not yours. These are easier on you and people have far more endurance with these. The spring boots absorb the down stroke for ignition, they reflect it back onto YOU.

  • rocket boots my ass

  • coming with all russian happy meals

  • Jump Boots like Poweriser are way better!

  • fun

  • EVERYBODYS RUSSIAN

  • calice ke sa aurait /t/ drole ki sen prenne une dans neige !!!

  • This is stupid. It requires fuel. Spring Stilts such as Power Strider or Powerisers brands require no fuel and preform far better than this.

  • @rlwieneke congratulations, you win a prize in the category of missing the point

  • @INTERNETRACECAR It's inferior, how is "pointing" that out missing the point. Maybe you missed the point.

  • @rlwieneke it's designed to assist in carrying loads and improving the ease at which a person can move at speed, whereas the things you have such a tremendous boner for are expensive niche toys to help morons break their necks all the more expediently

    which i highly endorse

not only that, if you don't think diesel-powered moonboots are awesome, you're essentially a joyless, smug idiot who has no imagination and probably had your childhood robbed from you

  • @INTERNETRACECAR You want assistance in carrying a load, try a little cart. Anybody that thinks everybody else should be gushing over this piece of crap just because they do, should be shot execution style through the back of the head. You really are a selfish dog to think everybody should think like you. You sound like a liberal.

  • @rlwieneke A cart won't work in certain terrain, such as the unpredictable and sometimes rocky/uneven terrain. And it wud be ineffective going up stairs and down stairs. also can get in the way repelling down the side of a cliff or from a helicopter. These are on and ready to go. anywhere a person can walk or run essentially. And may be able to do it at a faster pace and for a longer duration. And that kind of advantage can save lives, even your own.

  • @upcycle When they do a side by side comparison of two people loaded with 50lb back packs, one with these boots and one with regular boots over an obstacle course and this invention shows a noticeable advantage I will consider your suggestion.

  • @rlwieneke what i think is very interesting about these boots, is that they are compact and lightweight. And they can be mounted over boots. And when not being worn, they can be stowed in backpack. It almost like have bionic legs or power assisted legs that can be mounted at any time. And because they are not electric, they is less issue of disruption from electomagnetic bursts, And because they are diesel, the liquid has a high flash/combustion temp. And is more resistant to spark ignition.

  • This would be great for thieves who steal purses

  • WHat a jack ass

  • Can this reduce the shockwave when landing?

  • power boots? so what? where's the power?!

  • Looks like he has a triforce on the back of his jacket.

  • These are just spring loaded!

  • @Porfavador no they are not spring loaded, they run on fuel. wikipedia: "are powered by small internal combustion engines that add energy to every step."

  • I don't get it. All I see him doing is jumping like 3 inches higher than normal. How are these "rocket" boots

  • snow and stairs=best combo to use this invention on

  • its called fly jumper!

  • can he actually stand still with that boots on?

  • АВИАЦИОНКА!! еще до ремонта и реновации

  • Parking lot is full of Ladas :P

  • man that looks like it'd be fun to do with parkour

  • I'm not sure exactly how this makes running easier. Perhaps they should do a field test and spit out some numbers.

  • there's the real doofus

  • JAG VILL HA ETT PAR

  • lmao

  • aka kangaroo boots

  • Lmfao looks gay

  • @hkzhustler...that was a rather gay thing to say...

  • That is literally the coolest thing ive ever seen

  • You need to get out more...

But I do too... This is also the coolest thing I have ever seen.

  • Russia, I stand by you in your arguments about jets and migs and submarines... but... those rocket boots suck. PoweriZers 4ever.

Lmao, I thought of that the first second of the vid, and then at 0:24 a Mig-21BIS comes into veiw (Looks like one at least).

  • Haha!

  • I knew that russian guys was dumb, but dang. That low? Give up those, the real powerrisers are much more AWSOME!

  • долбоебизм )) try to translate it :DD

  • Jump Boots are much better.

  • i wana see some one go full tilt on this

  • False labeling pieces of shit trust the Russians to be so full of themselves they stole the idea from Hasbro

  • The original version was invented by the russians in the 60's.

  • I can by foul uses of langauge your are not very educated and lack of knowledge of things you speak compareing to a invention that was created close to 50 years ago to a silly toy

  • Russian version of Moonshoes =P

  • These look easy to build all it looks like is the end of a pogo stick...

  • they still dont have rockets in them....

  • where can i buy these ?? do they sell them ? if yes do they also sell them in holland ?? please let me know ..

  • russia

  • I believe the distance is more like 5-8 feet. And the person is moving at a walking pace. Trying to run at that speed would likely be impossible. And even if the person could come close to that walking pace speed, that person would exert massive amounts of energy to do so, and would exhaust them self within seconds. Also, these boots may allow the wearer to carry heavier loads for longer distances at a quicker pace.

  • That might be true, but it still looks gay.

  • @upcycle Yeah I think the only real applications would either to scale these down and allow someone to walk within normal parameters of "walking" but like you say carry more weight or perhaps alleviate fatigue. Or pair them with a cylinder moving the leg back and forth with some sort of electronics timing the whole system. Scientists are testing the idea of "get out of the way" tech of something like that. In other words as you move your leg normally, the system responds to that motion.

  • @phantom12321 these boots may b interesting when used along with power suit(metal frame with power enhanced joints 4 strength & endurance). throw in automatic AI and balance technology already being developed thru DARPA (such as the self walking power mule), and you may have a very interesting robot that could leap 20 to 40 feet while keeping it's balance. perhaps even capable to completely jump 20 feet into air repeatedly.

  • Is there a way to make it not look super gay?

  • can you imagine a super kick or a drop kick with that?

  • when is someone gonna go all Tony Stark and build REAL rocket boots? XD or a jet pack... imagine the economical progress we'd achieve!

not that im an eco-freak... i just like pondering whether human flight is possible without the use of wings =S

  • Tell that to Honda. They made Asimo.

  • asmio's a robot, not a robot suit, and its not as if an asimo can fly haha.

still, Honda could get their motoring/techno butts in gear and make an exoskeleton of SOME kind, i suppose

  • now that we have a better look at Russians I find it even harder to believe that we were once worried that these people were ever going to take over the world.

  • So true...

  • We, after seeing your performance in the Middle East, I'm surprised the USSR found it likely you could even put a dent on us. - See how immature that sounds? Cut down on the nationalistic bullshit, and just shut up.

  • hey calm down...I was just joking. You sound a bit insecure. And who's performance are you talking about in the middle east? America or Israel? If the IDF wanted to they could with force take all the middle east from Islam. But then they would be in the same mess that America not finds themself with. There is no easy answer to the Middle East problem, it cannot be solved at the end of a gun nor through fruitless idealogical bullshit. The Russians and the Americans failed in Afgan.

  • Insecure? No. Tired of Americans putting down Russia and it's technology? Very much so. And, I doubt the ability of the IDF to take over the entire Middle East. Maybe, perhaps, seeing as the Baath-controlled Iraq doesn't exist anymore. However, it would still have to deal with the Saudi's, Syrians, Iranians, and especially the Egyptians. (Egypt /is/ part of pan-Arabia, afterall) etc. I was talking about the United States' performance in Iraq / Middle East.

  • Hmmm, seems like the last time Egypt tried to "push Israel into the sea" The army of Egypt lasted only six days and of course Israel gained more land.

  • This time we're speaking of the entire Middle East. Not to mention the Egypt of today cannot possibly be compared to itself from the Six Day War. It is now a regional power, capable of perhaps even overtaking Israel itself. Underestimating Egypt would be a grave mistake.

  • As well, now, the United States has the support of countless NATO members and even some Arab nations. When the Soviets fought the Afghan guerrillas, their enemy was supported by the US CIA, Pakistan, China, Egypt, Saudi's, almost the entire Middle East, and West Europe. That's ridiculous. And still, they managed to annihilate the Afghan fighters in direct-fire situations, secure the cities, build infrastructure, and stay for about ten years. And that was just with their inferior brigades-

  • -The best of which brigades were of course, stationed in East Germany and other Warsaw Pact nations. If you'll look at the Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan, they were mainly youthful trainees, not the experienced soldiers positioned in the Iron Curtain awaiting US-NATO invasion. I believe the Soviets did considerably well, under these unbeatable circumstances. Regardless, I'm glad you're joking. Because to laugh at the pre-1985 superpower Soviet Union is madness.

  • I think you are a very educated and intelligent person. Thanks for posting such respectful comments.

  • Nice!! Where can I get one?

  • i wonder if you can run in these boots?????

  • hahahahahahaha look at the cars lolz...

  • Needs moar soldat.

  • hes an atronauttt

  • and what is the advantage? except looking very cool.

  • Running 25 miles per hour with very little effort, maybe?

  • You call that running with very little effort. How do you run?

  • With less effort than you, certainly, "fatjohn1408".

  • oh really? Laughing with fat people ay? That ain't cool man, that ain't cool. You should be ashamed of yourself. And all this during the christmas spirit. Take a good look in the mirror young lady!

  • QQ more

  • hahahaha

  • thats the advantage lol

  • Let's see your run increasing piston boots, oh that's right, you're just butthurt he made something awesome if still in the test stage.

  • these are stupid and a waste of money, ive seen some shoes or people modding there shoes which are the exact same thing, you dont need gas or anything, just springs, all the boots are doing are pushing him a bit forward every step he takes...just need springs

  • pataskuja perestroika

  • i see no difference in speed from a regular runner

  • I would LMAO if he slips on an ice. lol...

  • Co to za szajs ? lol!!

  • All cars should have a device that stores energy from the braking of the car, to be used to first start the car from a dead stop.

  • пьезоэлемент небось и камера сгарания внутри, до этго был сюжет там сказали что внутреннего сгарания эта фигня...

  • Go to Rollig Stones, Jumping Jack flasch...or what

  • this boots works like an engine - on gasoline. inside em there are piston and combustion chamber. it works on BENZIN

  • gromilko...heh...interesting! can i buy this?

  • as i know hrom news, soon some production of this rocket boots will be transfered to GB and price there would be about 1500£. but it is only buzzes...

  • hmmm...this invention is for younger one?

  • I'd like to see a horse run on these. How about a car? Now the car would be very bouncy and so would the horse. They also remind me of the anti-gravity boots that some character uses in Quake III arena. Remember?

  • LOL look at him fly!:P

  • there is no springs, lol ))))

  • How do they help? The springs don't add any energy to the action. All they do is make the user expend more energy. Bikes take advantage of gears to increase speed. Cars use internal combustion engines. Those are just springs. They just soften the impact. I can't think of any real uses for them except maybe for jumping off of tall objects.

  • Not true. The springs first store and then release much of the energy of the impact on the ground. Your legs can't do that; if you jump down on the ground, you don't bounce back up unless you actually expend energy (ie. jump back up) again.

(Which is not to say that these boots are necessarily useful. But that's another thing.)

  • They store energy which would be otherwise spent on the ground. They don't "add" energy, they just help you use more of the energy you invest. You only get 15% from an engine, the rest is spent of heat, what if you could use twice as much? 30% of the energy, it would almost double up your mileage. The same happens here, you can use a bigger chunk of your own energy.

  • do they have these for horses?

  • LOL!

  • lol i was just waiting for him to trip over himself

  • useless

  • dang it, he did'nt fall :[

  • I want that boots! Hmm..but is it easyer to run with boots like this or what? Anyway looks pretty cool!

  • they stink

  • Too much technology involved in accomplishing a very simple thing. I briefly had a pair of boots created by what was then a small fitness equipment manufacturer in Minnesota (the boots never went beyond development samples) that used plastic plates under tension (kinda like springs, but different) to accomplish exactly what you see in this video, without fuel/combustibles. I could easily get 8to10-foot strides at a brisk jog. Those were a lot of fun. I wish I had kept a pair.

  • Jason, I believe the russian boots are different than the spring type boots. The russian boots provide up to a few hundred pounds of thrust on each step via the concentrated energy stored in the diesel fuel.

perhaps others can explain the differences as well.

  • The ones I am referring to did not use springs (which are a common '50s era kids toy). These used two flexible plates of steel-reinforced plastic bent to touch at the tips (so they are under some tension already).

  • I believe you are referring to the "PowerSkip" boots. If so, these store the energy of the wearer. They do not contain external energy like the russian diesel boots.

However, both provide for more energy efficiency because the allow the wearer to become airborn for longer disstances, like a Cheetah.

  • More energy when he arrives? So, why's he always out of breath then?

  • He could also just run everywhere if he wanted to. Sorry, but this is just fuckin' dumb.

  • WHO EVER HAD A IDEA AND DARE TO TEST, is one of the cool guy in the world

  • I would like to correct you that these are not Seven League Boots as they are made in germany and look nothing like this.

  • creative mind :)

  • Wtf r u talkin about, Ultrasecond?

  • Push it to the limit. Walk along the razor's edge.

  • Actually driving would still beat this, these boots look like they would require **shudders* moving... People are so lazey they can barely stay awake while driving, we're safe from earthquakes for now

  • If this enters USA's markets, it will cause massive earthquakes due to overweight whales and sink entire continent. It is better to ban it now....

  • Don't knock it till you've tried it - i just got my powerisers - similar thing - AND THEY ARE GREAT FUN!!!

  • It is also a way to extend the range a person can walk with before exertion, in addition to raising the average speed the person can walk during that time.

By this way, the person wearing these will have more of thier energy for other tasks when they arrive at their destination.

  • The Rus military saw these boots as a way to outrun tanks.

  • Check out the latest video of a Speed Trail Run wearing these boots on a running track.

  • Too much Vodka...

  • Leg extension + jumping + no knee protection = bad, bad design. Maybe we'll see another video where the guy inevitably twists the lower half of his leg away from the upper half at an odd angle with a sickening pop.

  • cool boots i want a pair too XD

  • oh man he is rilli goinmg 40 miles an hour

  • Its just a guy jumping around on bungie boot things! Whats so great about that?

  • 1 thing comes to mind "run Forrest run!"

  • And people wonder why Russia is the way is the way it is today!

  • What way is it today and what does that have to do with the russian "power boots"?

  • It looks fairly exhausting to use. Granted there's a lot of work being done for you, but your still effectively jogging. Never saw him "strole" along in them.

    -Qes

  • god idea buth where is th deam rockets???

  • Check out the latest video of a Speed Trail Run wearing these boots on a runners track.

    http //www youtube com/watch ?v =xJvmAXCh6Ak

  • there are effing springs or compressed gas pistons in the boots, no rockets...

  • any idea where i can get these/ instructions?

  • Bunnyhopper!

  • shoes like these can help a man to run with a speed about 40 mph. also being produced in russia for special forces, very limited amounts.

  • I think that their "rocketness" comes from the piston and cylinder that each boot has. There's a glowplug at the top of the cylinder that burns a compressed mixture of air and biofuel/diesel when the wearer steps down and compresses the piston in the cyl. When fired, the piston cycles like a normal single cyl diesel engine. Plus, they're the closest think to actual rocket boots out there so far!

  • whats so "rocket" about them?

  • You guys think these would be legal to take on public transit? being that they can be fueled by biodiese or vegtable oil?

  • that was the stupidist comment i have read this week...
