wow this is very impressive it was the 80s there were almost no reference to love interests in most of the 80s cartoons maybe really subtle but to actually have a romantic scene like this was very progressive i wonder if it was hard for the writers to get this approved

Bravestarr certainly harkened back to Filmation's earlier, more mature works like Tarzan and Flash Gordon. They even killed off a little kid via drug overdose in one ep! One thing is certain, Filmation always had hot babes.

HOLY CRAP, MAN! I mean, I loved this show as a kid, but I thought that was because I was a kid! didn't know it got deep like this! I never got to see all of the shows, obviously. I mean, He-Man barely scraped the surface of romance, and Thundercats? Ha! I think Cheetarah remarked once that Lion-O was handsome but that was about it. Batman in the 90s was my first cartoon with depth!
