  • i bought blackberry for 11 times... who can beat my record?

  • Many indonesians know blackberry is not a hightech anymore, but why they still like it??? i my self hate this thing!

  • wheeeww am suck with BB!!!

  • yang aneh di Indonesia orang tua yang pake blackberry dibilang gaya. Padahal sebenarnya yang butuh blackberry orang tua buat pekerjaan mereka.

  • what's interesting from this phenomena is that indonesia creates its own trend. and it's based on local characteristic and culture that they like to groom (makan ga makan asal kumpul). this culture is not so much appear in other countries that's why BB is not so popular in many country. so don't compare it to other countries. if indonesian use iphone, it will be too global mainstream. they have their own mainstream. it is not stupidly following trends. it has a reason. local cultural reason.

  • hape saya jadul

    dan masih layar monokrom

bisa sms dan telpon sudah lebih dari cukup

dan saya bangga tidak mau didikte trend konyol

  • Prefer another smartphone yet still using Blackberry, how pathetic we are.

Make people smarter than before. Don't be as dumb as with that just-so-trendy people. We are smart, aren't we?

  • so pathetic,

    just follow the trend hahahaha

  • i live in indonesia and i have blackberry, but actually i bought that blackberry not because i want it, but because all of my friends and family using it.... in indonesia if you don't have blackberry.... it will be very hard to communicate... i prefer iPhone but what can i say ?? but if you bring that blackberry to other country.. it will be useless and crappy phone

  • if one of our nation's habit is love to chat / very enthusiastic to intense connection... what's wrong with that? why should we be ashamed of that? ....

  • the Economy, technology everything from the outside, I'm sure if the character of Indonesian people are all like this, INDONESIA forever so consuming countries who automatically becomes poor country.i like products MADE IN INDONESIA, ugly and bad as anything I would buy it, for the sake of children I'll not be confused grandchildren looking for work, because the mobile plant is still in INDONESIA, and not curious / sorry I made a rich nation itself rather than other nations who CAPITALIST.

  • betul, pengguna bbm emang bodoh, mkny hny di negara yg msh bnyk orang yg mau d bodohin aja bb msh laku..d negara maju..good bye bb

  • for all Indonesians here that humiliate ur own country,It's also a great loss for ur country to have such a citizen like u,ashamed of being Indonesian?? then just go abroad n change ur citizenship..

If u need to criticize ur people then do it moderately but If u just want to be looked more educated than those who u criticize well disgracing ur own country doesn't make u look better, what makes u even better than them???ur smartphone? geez..so shallow, shame on u...

  • people who use blackberry are dumb

blindly follows the technology trend, showing off their bulky device thinking they have the ‘in’ thing.

  • gue mutusin pindah ke android (galaxy gio) dari bb pearl 9105.. harga beda sejuta (mahalan pearl) tapi... kualitas beda jauh! android fighting

harus gue akui... tanpa bb tuh serasa gimana gitu...

  • consumerism level: Indonesia

  • negara norak -___-

  • hahahaha , i think they main reason to buy blackberry is not from the main function of itself..but just for make them more stylish ( maybe in indonesia, have blackberry is a symbol of style n tech appealing).. how a shame..

  • Parahhhhhh hhahahahah

  • a very nice coverage..this truly uncovers the truth of what happens in Indonesia.

  • thanks God I'm Indonesian.. i'm not blackberry user (y) LOL

  • untouched places in the world? who is the scriptwriter??

unexpected market? Indonesia is the 4th in the world's population

easiest & cheapest? well for him

local public school? and they choose obama's former school?

hyperconsumerism, but unfortunately consumerism still make our economy grow...

  • I feel like a hipster being a professional in mid 20s in Indonesia and carry an Android phone. People don't even bother to ask whether I have a Blackberry, they'd go straight to asking me what my PIN is.

  • If someone noticed, 5:10 : he said "Blackberry Ecosystem" lol

it was rather an annoying fact that this shitty blackberry has rooted deep in society >.>

  • heh bocah..youtube tuh dipake oleh seluruh negara di dunia.Gak usah malu2 bangsa sendiri pake komen basa inggris.

situ ngerasa untung ngejek2 bangsa sendiri? mikir!

  • @wooderize88 lu yg bocah wkwkwk

  • Android Mania

    #GoGreen

Hijaukan bumi kita dengan robot ijo

  • Alay banget....

  • I'm an indonesian, & I do know that BB is not that hi tech anymore, but in the end i bought it. Why? cause most of my friends use BB. By using BBM, i could save some of my money because it's quite cheap for texting (BBM), compared with using conventional SMS. if you asked "why not use ip or other?". well that would mean all my friends should change their phones. And doesn't it means "consumerism'?. For now, i guess i'll use BB and wait until i find better (economically for me of course) option.

  • Blackberry appealing in Indonesia eyes? they was feel better if using Blackberry, and they was feel better or to accepted in society, for some. for "ABG" or Teenagers they are feel bad if not using BB.

but, I'm not judging people using it, it's authority user :D life Blackberry NATION

  • @onlydans I'm totally disagree with you..not all the people in indonesia think so..

"for "ABG" or Teenagers they are feel bad if not using BB."="Stupid person"

I'm teenager, I'm not using BB, and I'm still OKAY

  • @luthfifathur Yes I am.. good guy :)

  • umm, what is blackberry?

  • I am neither using BB nor a BB maniac, but...

What's wrong with using BB to communicate?

It's up to a person to decide on how he/she should socialise.

Does it kill you to see someone using BB?

The worst thing: You are embarrassed of total strangers using BB. I just don't understand how it could be embarrassing to begin with...

I am talking to those Indonesians who felt intimidated when they saw BB users

  • don't mind me, I just happen to pass by while lurking youtube

  • I can only say : Blackberry will soon be useless in Indonesia, just sayin' since we all here livin' by using better smartphones such as Android and iOS (only a couple of guy used blackberry)

  • Its called a "peasant morale".

It will explain why this is going on.

Read it. Its fun and a fact.

  • if iPhone and its service is as cheap as the blackberry, maybe the one with blackberry will change their mind...

  • This video shows the ignorance and stubornnes of Indonesian who still believed BlackBerry is a great phone. Their eyes are blinded with the dumb application called BBM. When I asked, "Why do you use BBM, not other messaging service?" Most people can't answer the question.

I personally dislike iPhone, but I have to admit it is a good phone. As for BlackBerry? I didn't even consider it near good...

    Shame on my country...

  • @flamechampz then you may go somewhere and ow yeah, don't ever your use "bahasa" again or meeting your family here in Indonesia if you are ashamed to be Indonesian. And yes, your mother still speaks in Bahasa fyi.

  • what the fu*ck she said "nature of their culture" i absoutely denied that...!!!!!!!

  • as we know, blackberries are no longer cool in Indonesia, so let's open our mind and get a real smartphone.

  • I am using Android

  • me there!

  • inb4 using BB is not wrong.

The problem lies on why people bought it... Consumerism!

If you didn't buy BB just to tag along or just because it's cool, I guess you're perfectly fine.

  • klo gw liat kayaknya ni yg nulis org indonesia semua deh?tp knapa pada nulisnya pake bahasa inggris semua y?mana isinya ngejelek2n negara sendiri pula,,biar org seluruh dunia tau klo lo pada lg ngejelekin negara sendiri?hhaha

beresin diri lo sendiri deh baru ngomentarin orang lain,,ga enak ja liatnya pada ngjelekin saudara2 senegara sendiri,,:)

  • @nugi78882504 Youtube is an international website so it's an unspoken etiquette to use English.

What's wrong with criticizing our own country if we deserve it?

It might help people opening their eyes.

    Tsk, I hate naive people.

Tell me, is our "tag along (ikut-ikutan)" culture good?

Most people bought BB because people around them are using it and they felt the urge to do the same so they can chat through BB Messenger too, or just because BB looks cool, not because BB is superior to other phones.

  • How sad people labeling Blackberry user like this. There are style and worth and Indonesian flirting between it.

  • sad but true :(

  • What's the matter about using blackberry phone? i think it depends on the people itself.

Everybody free to choose which kind of phone they want to use.

Don't hate the gadget but the people who use it inappropriate way, the make themselves addict to blackberry..

what a gross using 2-3 blackberry

  • stupid... when the other country prefer another "smartphone"...

  • the truth is,it doesn't matter what phonee you're holding now...be it iphone,blackberry,android...every1 knows the best phone is nokia 8290 from 1999

  • my god. can't believe that its being covered. ironically, by other country's media. such an embarrassment

  • BB sucks, and so the people that holds ones.

they're too absorbed and prefer to talk with their thumbs and forget how to actually communicate with people.

never expected to talk with a person with BB in hands, they're temporary blind and deaf!

  • I only use the best, Android

  • I'm Indonesian and I hate blackberry. Blackberry make indonesian people like an idiot

  • @TEPPOSH yapp betul apalagi klo lagi pada kumpul turs sibuk sama "BLOODY BB" nya sendiri. semua orang dimana2 pegang BB

  • Haha.. I don't need BB stuff..

  • i'm not using blackberry the graphic resolution quality is not good enough for me, the camera is bad as well

  • Besides, what the heck do you need more than 1 phone for??? 2 is still acceptable I guess, but more than 2??????

  • I'm Indonesian and I'm not a Blackberry user, and there's nothing wrong with using Blackberry, but this video truly reflects our consumerist culture as well as our "ikut-ikutan" culture!

  • :ngakak

    hanya di Indonesia :matabelo:

  • i'm indonesian, and i love Blackberry (this is represent 6 Millons people in Indonesia who also using Blackberry :p)

  • @okiind Can you tell me what are the benefits besides the blackberry messenger?

  • I'm Indonesian, and I'm proud to be the 'without blackberry' minorities. :)

  • Comment removed

  • udah di jual BB nya ganti nexian, make dua kali pertama BB Tour, terus Pearl 3G, ternyata BB cuman bisa BBM aja :) lainnya biasa aja

  • still android rules.

  • i never interested to get blackberry for me.

It's specification sucked up, i'd rather using other phones with better quality.

ionno why people could be that interested, maybe just for BB messenger? oh god, ive been messing around with other messenger and also with other phones before blackberry boom in indonesia.

  • This video embarassed me as Indonesian. While most of my friends in college already realized that BB is going down, but it seems people outside don't have same perspective. To be honest I don't know what's the motivation to buy BB. Messenger? Oh cmon man, there is already a more universal cross-platform messenger. Is it cheap? I don't think so. Guys, open your eyes to another tech. For me BB is not tech-appealing

  • @oldark2 AGREED!

let's switch to iphone once your bb contract is over or gettin really slow!!!

    hahaha

  • @oldark2 You are embarrassed because your fellow Indonesians embrace a particular brand? That's so silly. I am Indonesian and I prefer Android, but that's no reason for me to be embarrassed of anything. What does a company's performance and a nation's preference have to do with your national pride?

  • @oldark2 And now you're gonna argue for Whatsapp, which I use as well. It's probably easy for you and I to download and sign up for Whatsapp, but it is not so for older people. They just want something that works right out of the box. You think my mom and my grandma want to go through the hassle of downloading and signing up for anything? The moment I say the word "download" they will immediately give up.

  • @oldark2 You have to understand the mentality of different market segments. You're only looking at this issue from a tech stand-point. You must look at it from a sociological and business stand-point as well. Because of the Blackberry my mom, who is nearing 60, is now actively chatting and emailing. Previously she doesn't even know how to use a computer, not even how to type properly.

  • @oldark2 That is the effect of the Blackberry. It is the lowest common denominator that brings everyone into the smartphone world. You think my mom will be able to do that if I just give her an iPhone? Lastly, the number one motivation for someone to use a Blackberry is because EVERYONE ELSE is using it. Your friends, your parents, your little cousins, your coworkers. Can't deny it. It's herd mentality. Most people are followers, not leaders.

  • @oldark2 So when a few leaders embrace a platform, their followers will follow, and that platform becomes a standard, no matter how shitty it is, like Windows. Now go and be proud of your nationality.

  • @oldark2 1) it's trendy (or at least when it became mainstream)

    2) it's not a "toy phone" (iphone, android).

    3) People who use it just use it to chat chat chat with their friends.

    4) A touchscreen is too tiring.

    5) If u own one u have bbm (most of ur friends are still there) and whatsapp. If you own an iphone/android u only have whatsapp.

    6) the cheapest bb is cheaper than the cheapest iphone.

  • @M3mPHiS Sorry but number 4 is not correct. My wife has a BB and I hate trying to use it when she has issues. Far too much scrolling and faffing around. I use an Android phone and I can do things way quicker with it. I also don't like the tiny screens on most BB. They are still way behind in the tech but BBM is why I would say most people have them. It was also the first in Indonesia to have a fixed price for messaging. No suddenly big bills to worry about with sending SMS.

  • @oldark2 indeed from tech point of view bb is below the other smart phones. but bb in indonesia has its own strong points. i dont use it but from my friend's bb i see that bb is indeed very simple in terms of messengering. with bb you can create groups, sharing photos etc.. so if everybody uses the same phone, it is easier to reach everybody. touchscreen is tiring (i agree with the other user's comment, i know it cos im using a touch screen phone). & bb service fee is cheap in indo. salam

  • @oldark2 Too true. As tech goes, BB is way behind the competition and this has been shown in their slow performance over the last year or so. It may be big in Indonesia but only because BBM is fixed cost. I bet you most people who use BBM have no clue about the other features of their phone. My wife uses only FB and BBM on it. :o)

  • typical 3rd world country :) that's why I avoid BB, what's important for me about my cellphone is: u can call and u can text with it. Halas!

  • Low end smartphone for low end country

  • Comment removed

  • Yes! We defeat US *yay =))

    That's a #lebay news actually..

  • I don't have BB... because i don't like it...

  • @03:20 ...cheapest and easiest to chat... really? cheapest? I doubt it.

  • in Indonesia:

the upper classes could afford 3-4 blackberries

the middle classes worked hard saving up 1

the lower classes buys cheap china-made blackberry ripoff

we are just a big starving consumerist country

  • Wake up my country, wake up!! Open your eyes..

  • Wake up my country, wake up.. Open your eyes..

  • my country :( my home contain 4 people with 6 blackberry. .

  • the scene where they showed the drivers waiting for their bosses is kinda ironic.. :(

  • hahahahaahhaah

  • omg.. omg..

I am amazed.. super amazed... esp for the 6th graders and that man with 1 blackberry for his wife..

  • my country -____-

  • OMG.... this is my country -__-"
