He used his spacers fine. Its called pegging your work, and means you can get over bent & bowed walls by adjusting your joints slightly. Try using square spacers and square tiles on a bowed wall and let me know how you get on. Didnt serrate his adhesive correctly though!
OH MY GOD THESE ENGLISH GAYS ( SORRY GUYS ?!) WHEN THEY COME TO WORK TEA ..CAFE ..TEA..CAFE..TEA..CAFE..TEA..CAFE OOPS SORRY I HAVE TO PUT A TILE ON THE NOW ..OH WAIT NO I HAVE TO GO FOR LUNCH ..MMM I'M GOING TO HAVE A TEA WITH MY LUNCH.. OR MAYBE CAFE...THIS WEEKEND I'M GONE MEET A GUY ( SORRY GAY )
Classic amature mistake number one: Start in the corner with a full tile! And what was the point trimming the spacers when you took them all out anyway? Could have put them in from the front...and I notice you left the horrors of tiling above the window out...etc etc
@toadproductions1 They used a "dispersion" adhesive (ready mixed, which cures by the water drying out). Yes, you should leave these at least 24 hours to dry out. They could have used a "hydration" adhesive (cement based that you have to mix with water). That cures by a chemical reaction between the cement and the water. These do not take so long to cure, rapid set dries in about 4 hours. For wall tiling dispersion is much easier to use (better grip on the tiles, longer working time etc).
@toadproductions1 If the bathroom is about 25 square metres (including floor), then the cost is approx £15 x 25 (tiles) + 3 tubs of adhesive @ £18 each + 1 bag rapid set adhesive (floor) @ £16 + 10kgs of grout @ £15 each (don't buy ready mixed grout, it bubbles, buy the stuff you have to mix yourself) = £460. Spacers, trowel, float, tile trims, batons, spaces, sponges, buckets = £30, manual cutter + electric cutter = £100. Should be possible for £590 ish.
This is a great video, really appreciate you sharing, I am now going to file my kitchen backsplash as this is the most informative video on You Tube! Thank You.
thats what happens when you start with a full tile in a corner and tile to the other wall, funny thing is walls are NEVER straight which means as your going up the wall is moving away from you so your gap is getting bigger thats why i use symmetry and tile from the middle of the wall outwards, i can guarantee you will never find shit like that with me, im all about quality not quantity

Shouldnt you have to first apply a coat of waterproof membrane, regardless of what the wall is made out of?

@toadproductions1 Ooops, add a tenner for a couple of tubes of silicone for the bath and around the windows and wall joints and call it £600...
