This had to be killing Terry Taylor. A part of him must have been looking at Curt Hennig and wondering what it would have been like if he had been Mr. Perfect instead... I can't even imagine it, myself. Taylor was talented, but Curt Hennig was the perfect choice (pun totally intended).

Taylor was actually brought into the WWF as a cocky heel. He wasn't saddled with the Rooster gimmick right away which is common belief. It was a few months later. When he debuted, he was just Terry Taylor with black trunks and a cocky attitude. He should of stayed that way. I'd of honestly quit (perhaps me talking stupid but from my point of view a death gimmick is not worth having in pro wrestling) if McMahon gave me a gimmick as a bird

I remember this match from when I started watching wrestling and going: "who the hell is this ham and egger who is matching the great Mr P move for move" it wasn't until years later that I found out that Terry Taylor is anything but a jobber, he just might be as good as Henning himself, the NWO was his Terry Taylor's brainchild for goodness sake! that just shows just how influential he is to the business, I just don't understand why he isn't in the WWE Hall of Fame

I think we can hear the official end of Rod's wwf career, when Heenan cut a huge promo on him and all he responds with is "bring it on" ... and Vince's comment is plain disgust... and he's then a jerk to Rod's comments for the rest of the match

@lhwchamp I loved it. I think the only equal to Rod not knowing shit about wrestling was Art Donovan at the '94 King of the Ring, of course that was so bad it was good and it was accidently funny. Rod was just horrible and not funny at all

Before he became The Red Rooster Terry Taylor wrestled as 'Terrific' Terry Taylor in the WWF and wasn't managed by Bobby Heenan until he became The Red Rooster (history lesson for all you marks out there)

It's a shame that Vince McMahon didn't make himself an on-air "character" sooner. He's such a better "personality" than he is an announcer. And the other announcers, like Michael Cole, JR, and Jerry Lawler, are all so much better than the team that commentated this match
