That really is innovative! I have never seen anything like it. I can see how someone who crafts a lot would get great use out of this. Is there a pen or pencil attachment for? And can you cut fabric with it?
I also cut my finger when I first used this. It has the old cover over the blade. Also, it is great to just cut circles, however, when you go to cut out photos or artwork, it is very hard to center it and get that perfect cut. I am not too happy with this.
I had to have stitches after trying to open the cover on the blade. Very nasty cut. And I was careful. It needs improvement on that feature. Be forewarned!
Maybe it's my inexperience, but in my first attempt to use this tool, I cut my left index finger and needed 7 stitches! This happened when I was trying to put the "dime- size" cover back on the razor, it is very difficult to get aligned and ooooops! that's all she wrote! SO PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL!!
i brought this today at Michael's with the 50% off coupon which is really cool but when i try to set up the blade in the handle I cut my finger. so be very careful when taking the blade in and out because it's going sideway.
That looks pretty neat. Different design from the compass-like circle cutters.
One question though. Is that a good way to cut 1/4 inch thick cardboard? Because its really neat and clean but I would like to know if it can cut thicker material.
can't wait to try mine (bought one on sale the other night)... of course i have to admit that the lady in this vid says this is the best she's tried - but of course she says that.. she's $paid$ by them!! lol i'm just saying. lol
you removed your comment cropwithLisa, but I have to say I don't have a Cricut - too expensive though it'd be neat to have - lots of stuff you can do with it... but i have a problem keeping the guide & paper still (both) and keeping the circle in line & straight (so to speak) lol
I love, love my MS Circle Cutter! Have no problems with it! Just have to hold onto the cutter firmly and your paper as well. Just need to get a good grip on the knob and glide it around. Best thing ever to making circles.
Wonder if they'll come up with making squares?....hmmm.
I also got the cutter with the "older" blade. Just slide the cover off sideways, don't try to pull it straight off. I am having trouble though making a clean cut on any paper I've tried. The circle shape is great, but the edges are not clean. Anyone else have this issue?
Oh K maybe it's because your page is new. I typed in Martha Stewart Circle Cutter & your replacement blade tutorial appeared, I just so happen to check your other videos & found this one. I honestly don't know how Youtube searches work, I just assumed. Adding these tags from easy to find videos in addition to what you have might help: Circle cutter stamps scrapbooking card making circle scissor :-) The extra storage at the top of the cutter is FANTASTIC! I'm glad to have found ya!
Thanks for this video update. I purchased the Martha Stewart circle cutter & 12x12 cutting mat from Walmart. Unfortunately know one really new how to operate the cutter, although wholes seem confusing. Excellent instructions although this video was hard to find in the search, please tweek the tags &/or change the title.
Thanks for your comments! Can you tell me what tags or title would make this video easier for you to find? It is brand new as of today -- could that be part of the reason you had trouble finding it? Thanks for viewing our video!
