@SunsetShadows1990 no, she isn't. Shelley Winters (Nana Mary) was born in 1920 and Estelle Parsons was born in 1927. A 7-year difference so they couldn't be mother/daughter in real life, but Shelley/Nana was still older.

That's what I was saying, someone who got the joke right away could explain why mentioning Brian Piccolo is suppose to be funny. That is one of the ways people learn, by asking when they don't understand something.

Piccolo played for the Chicago Bears (Dan's fave team) so it's somewhat relevant, but he died young of his tragic disease 22 years before this episode aired, so it's ancient news. That's like someone trying to impress me as a Red Sox fan by saying, "That's too bad they traded Babe Ruth." Yes, it was, but it's been like 90 years now. It's a big FAIL on Mark's part. He tried to impress Dan, but his only knowledge of the Bears is the movie BRIAN'S SONG.
