I'm really interested in learning kenpo. Does anyone here who knows what the heck they are talking about have any advice? it seems like half the people on youtube just like to say negative things for the hell of it so please don't waist my time with bullshit. I am very serious about my martial arts and expect the same from you. The reason i am thinking of learning kenpo is because of the fast paced, precise striking. I feel like it would suit my fighting style well. Thanks for reading.
@RoyalDragonusa Chris can do that to people. Should have seen us sparring in my basement last year. Surprised my house survived the ordeal. It was a lot of fun.
Yeah, I hear you. I actually had a lot of fun when I came in for that. I wanted to sign up and train there, but it was "Her" place, so I really wasn't allowed. It was all good though, I ended up with a small Kunato/Silat family and it turned out very well.
i like how in your demonstration at :11 the guy just freezes after the first punch and doesnt retaliate at all the whole time. because you know, that would totally happen in a real fight.
@Tracer564 presentations show what a move looks like, not that move itself. In a real fight, his face, neck and ribs would have been badly damaged. You can claim that the attacker would have kept moving, but you try walking into multiple face and neck strikes and see how much you're moving. Not to mention in a real fight, the attacker would be driven back by the counter attack, making reaction even more difficult.
keith hackney was a true badass shame he didnt get more action in the ring than he did his style was really exciting in the ring im only self trained and it really isnt a specific style just regular boxing with karate like kicks but he got me interested in this style
You still go by Zoran? And, do you still train at the North Av and Rt 53 location? You were always very cool to me btw (<-- Chad Russell)...if you even remember me hehe :) I recall quite well the young lady en route to college we were all jealous of you being friends with! I wonder if she ever made FBI hehe...
Fun to recognize almost everyone in the video even though it's been 11 years since I stepped through White Tiger doors :)
Miss it to death - even though I'd only had 2 years there *(green belt) the memories I took from that scool were priceless. The people - priceless - Master Tom Saviano and his black belts - Priceless.
Kenpo is fast, I love it.

From first hand experience, these guys would clean most peoples clocks. This isn't your run of the mill Kempo school.
