  • so underrated. love this movie!!

  • What the hell is she holding?! Does anyone know?

  • @rogueofthecraft jeweled shoe.

  • great song

  • This has always been one of my nondisney fairy tale favorite!<3 I watch it all the time!!!!!

  • The Nostalgia Critic is right: This song DOES sound generic and lame!

  • @JRRTolkienLOTR Doesn't sound generic and lame to me - I like it.

  • This movie is great stfu you complaining idiots!

  • if they were gonna' turn the Thief And The Cobbler into a musical, they could have at least done like Romeo, and saved it for the Stage instead

  • What is this horrible- I can't- Tack loses all of his appeal for me if he isn't silent.

  • Actually, Aladdin is a big rip off of this movies original story.... Not that I don't love Aladdin, but Disney is kinda known for stealing the works of others... Like the Lion King.

  • @rogueofthecraft The way I see it, TLK is just Kimba for people who don't like anime.

  • I watched this movie when I was 5 & when I watched again at the age of 12 I remembered just staring @ the screen thinking 'how did that happen?' or 'where'd that come from?' back then because of the unusual layout! Like when tack is chasing the thief & he runs into the middle of where the stairs are! This song always was my favorite from this movie! Its so sweet!

  • This was such a memorable part of my childhood. Many years later, I learned about the troubled history of this masterpiece, and can't help but feel sorry its state and its creator. It is an amazing piece of animation, and should be appreciated to the fullest.

  • Good God! This movie is so friggin' old!!

  • Like if you own this video on VHS. Anyone?

  • @mackenziew wish I did, regardless of how messed up the Completion Bond Company made it, especially using this nice song.

sad how Richard's masterpiece came out like this, instead of how he visioned it

  • @mackenziew Who doesn't?

  • q hermoso

  • Nostalgia Critic was right. This is BLAND.

  • @TheSwedishRose I like it

  • @jfkrakowski I still thinks its bland.

  • thumbs up if you think Disney should revive the restoration of the orignal thief and the cobbler that is shelved after Roy Disney left.

  • I know some might flame me for this but if they gave Zigzag a musical part in this film I think Corey Burton would do the singing since I think Ratigan after Vincent Price pass away is voice by Corey Burton now.

  • I feel bad for Mathew Brodrick for some reason...

  • i want to find french version of this song....(when i was young i watched french version) if someone have the french ver, please send that song to me.^^

  • Its too bad this movie was never truly finished. I swear, this film had some of the best animation ive ever seen.

  • if the completion bond company didnt waste their time on animating the song sequences, they might have been able to complete richard william's original movie

on the flipside, if richard williams didnt waste his time on animating certain pointless over the top animation sequences, he couldve completed his own movie in time lol

  • The Nostalgi critic was NOT kidding! >.<

  • Why didn't Matthew Broderick sing for Tack. Matthew Broderick sings well.

  • @SongsJerome THAT WASNT MATTHEW SINGNG?? HOLY HECK IT SOUNDED JUST LIKE HIM!!!

  • @Heylilvelvet LOL yep it's true.

  • @SongsJerome This film was released by Majestic Films only in Australia and South Africa in 1993. The version with Matthew Broderick in it was released by Miramax in the US in 1995. While the Miramax version got a few new voice actors for the speaking parts, they left in the singing parts from the 1993 version of the film. Why that is, I'm not sure. Maybe budgeting? They didn't, however, specifically get two separate actors for the role, as sometimes seen in, for example, Disney films.

  • @ladycheru What I meant was for the one from 1995 .

  • @SongsJerome Yes, the version from 1995 uses the singing parts from the version released in 1993.

  • @ladycheru He did?

  • Love this song with my life<3

  • @animeluva18 I agree

  • compared to the PowerPuff girls see me, feel me gnomey, this is a masterpiece of vocals and lyrics, it's not trying to make sense, but at the same time, it's not trying to tell something.

  • Directed by Tommy Wiseau

  • Whenever i hear this song,i think of my crush

  • totally matches what I'm feeling atm. loooooove this movie!

  • @sketchsistas also the first time i watched this was with my little sister. it was a rental from a hotel thrift store ON VHS! lol

  • i wanna feel loved too! whats up wit dat?! can i feel love too? can it happen to me?

  • Ugh!! This makes me so angry!!!!! I hate the crappy songs Miramax added! Shame on them! And the voice for Tack? Ugh. Ruining a masterpiece.

  • TAK IS CUTER WHEN HES A WHITE GUY.

  • @Harleyquinn191 yh i wonder how he turned brown lol

  • @AstrayxHeartz

it may have been that the change in skin color was supposed to be symbolic. Tack is changing on the inside, he's getting out more and he's becoming brave and less shy. Sometimes when characters change, this will be emphasized through a change in physical apperance, whether it's a different outfit, a change in hair color or style, or in this case, getting a tan.

  • @Harleyquinn191 ahh yh i never thought of it that way yh it could of been that...either that or getting a tan from that desert lol...he looks so much better when hes white and gothic like ;)

  • @AstrayxHeartz

    Yeah true. that could be.

    I do to, hes cute.

  • The song is bland and boring... it's like trying to stay awake during a golf game after taking NightQuil, running a few miles, overloading on carbohydrates and going through the effects of a caffeine crash

  • The song is bland and boring... it's like trying to stay awake during a golf game after taking NightQuil and during a caffeine crash

  • This song is REALLY HORRIBLY written...but I luv this movie. I actually like Tack better in the Miramax version, only because the voice fits him a whole lot better. And in this song, you can tell he was animated differently. His eyes are doing some weird Ragedy Anne thing at one point.

  • You know, all you people are so damn cynical. Its a LOVE song. It can be cheesy all it wants! :p People tend to become cheesy when they really love someone. lol

  • @VampireLover02 i agree it a awesome song!

  • Lazy as hell records.

    Director Tommy Wiseau.

  • "I close my eyes and see his eyes"

Come on, right then they should have known this song was doomed, lol.

  • i like Tack in the recobbled version. SILENT!

  • this movie made me laugh-and this song is nice

  • Like if you saw this on the Nostalgia Critic

  • @ChildOfTheFlower more, or less of that

  • Comment removed

  • My heart will love a lovey love love...but only...in my dreaaams. Because I sing with singiness, the dreams I dream I'll dreeeaaammmmm I heart loooooveeee

  • I'm feeling nauseous

  • watch Tack's eyes at 2:02-2:06. its like even he is rolling his eyes at this song :D

  • yes. yes you are.

  • I miss youu Cody-/3

  • O..K.., this is wierd.. Nice song, but .. Its still hard for me to imagine tack 'Singing'..

  • Am I the only one who likes this song and thinks it's sweet?

  • @MissChelDorado it's really cliched, but thats just my opinion

  • @MissChelDorado I adore and thinks it sweet too

  • Lets forget the fact that the singers can't sing for spit & every line in this song is an eyebrow-raiser, but just the sentence 'Am I feeling Love?' sounds so totally unbelievably absolutely RIDICULOUS! It sounds like something a foreigner would say while attempting to put together their 1st sentence in English.

& I can't get pass this line "I sense in all his silences". Oh....my....gosh.....

  • I havn't seen this version, but my only complaint is that the theif in the 'Recobbled' version, practicly stole the show.

  • "I close my eyes, and see his eyes..."

Lol wtf XD even if it's figurative, it still makes absolutley no sense

  • @Roboprez3 LMAO LMAO ROFL

  • 10 times better than Justin Bieber

  • @quantumphysics314 Oh yeah.

It's a little more than just an "Aladdin rip off" - it's more accurate to say disney ripoff because they were trying to appeal to everyone with the broadway-style musical and really shoddily (excuse the pun) cobbled together romance/narration/dialouge.

  • @SpeedTanookie So just because they target the same audience it's a rip-off? Just because Disney targets a specific audience in some of its movies doesn't mean that same audience is off limits to everyone else. If that were the case Disney would be a monopoly by now. The release of this movie didn't hurt Disney at all. Disney is huge. Miramax and this movie are tiny in comparison.

  • @quantumphysics314 Are you seriously trying to argue with me about this subject :U

  • @SpeedTanookie Sorry. But I kind of like this movie. Shutting up now.

  • @quantumphysics314 Haha there's nothing at all wrong in liking the movie (that's why I put up clips of it) and I think it's a great work of art myself. But you gotta understand that it has great flaws and accept them.

  • Nostalgia Critic: My heart will love a lovey love love. But only in my dreams...

  • @Kaagh178 And though I sing with singyness the dreams I dream I'll dreeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaammmmmmmmm.

    I heart love!

  • @purplestarz93 Ahahhahah! You beat me to the punch XD

  • "I close my eyes and see his eyes..."

    ...the fuck?

  • @CloverNoodle LMAO LMAO ROFL I like your reaction the best lol

  • @Sabertooth1000000000

    CAN IT REALLY BE

    HAPPENING TO ME

    AM I FEELING

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 its even worse its: a heart i will obey

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 A heart I will OBEY!

  • Comment removed

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 it says ''obey'', not ''open''...

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 obey, I think. not open.

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 It's not "a heart I will obey'?

  • @Sign2MePlz You are literally the THIRD PERSON who has told me this in less than a week. I get it.

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 It's not 'open', it's 'obey'!

  • @YukiSenpai16 Okay, okay, I GET IT. You are literally the fourth person to tell me this.

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 LOL sorry! My bad!

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 its a heart i will obey haha...so its a little better

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 I think that line is sweet

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 not to be rude, but it's obey not open :P but I do agree with you ^^' it's cute.... but bad >< lol

  • @Sabertooth1000000000

"dont fight ur feelings says my heart... a heart i will OBEY "

    GENIUS.

  • @Sabertooth1000000000 Actually it's "A heart I will obey" not a "heart I will open" lmao...

  • @SunShineTheWitch I love that saying

  • Actually Matthew Broderick didn't sing at all. it was some guy named Steve Lively

  • the main verse is okay, however, I still think its lyrics killed the song.

and I think NC was talking specifically about lyrics...it's pretty bad.

  • @VinWeiLee27171 I agree, the chorus is pleasant enough, but the lyrics in the verses are just phoned in.

  • I heart looooooooooooove...

  • @zonQe

Directed by Tommy Wiseau. It's nice, HUUUUUUH?

  • @zonQe My heart will love a lovey love love....but only in my dreams.... But because I sing with singyness, the dreams I dream I'll dreeeeeeeeam!!!!

  • @desolate2

    I HEART LOOOOOOVE!

    (copyright tommy wiseau)

  • @desolate2 hehe....gotta love the NC xD i totally went out to look for that song when i saw the review xD

  • @desolate2 LOL

  • @zonQe directed by Tommy Wiseau

  • @hackensac Baha YOU'RE TEARING ME APART YUM YUM!!! XD XX

  • You know even if the NC says this song is bland I kind of disagree. The parts where they sing in Harmony is kind of nice 1:06 and 1:55.

  • @twilightwindwaker i really only found this song to be the GOOD one of the movie... but... god the rest of them. ugh.

  • @twilightwindwaker Yeah I think the songs in this version definitely have potential, but just not followed through in my opinion.

  • I don't really hate this version of the movie at all. I think the recobbled cut is better, of course! But there are some things about this version that make me smile; this song being one of them

  • @JackandSally4ever The rest of the songs are really bland, and what busted my ass in particular was the ZANY (not really) monolouge. And the fact that you can tell when Miramax is animating 81

  • @JackandSally4ever

that is a really good way to describe this movie and song.

Yeah, the song is bland, but its.... sweetly bland. :)

  • AHHHHH!! NC was right! NC was right!!! :(

  • @RockyBalboa211 Haha I saw that review todAY AS WELL! Well, it's sorta cute, but the re-cobbled cut is much better

  • Wow... He's gotta be pretty damn strong to be able to hold himself up by his armpits like that...

  • OLOLOL as a child this made me stare at the moon and wonder "what the hell is going on up there"

I still do the same... I'm so ashamed 8D

  • @peachyosucky99 Matthew Broderick :U

  • @SpeedTanookie though you should note that's not the actually singer

  • :' D

  • i remember watching this when i was like...5 or something...maybe even younger. i can't even really remember what the movie was about just vaguely the clips and stuff. :)

  • I love Tack's smooth voice

  • @jfkrakowski yea its really nice

  • even though princess yum yum is a very pretty arabian lady. but i find jasmine from aladdin a bit more prettier.

  • @rockinamber18 I actually find Yum-Yum to be a much stronger and more interesting character than Jasmine, but only in the recobbled cut (she shows much more wisdom and authority in what could've been Richard Williams' dream movie).

  • @AlbinoTanuki I agree, Yum-Yum in the recobbled cut doesn't have to get all Disney cliche to prove she's a strong independent woman, hehe. :)

  • yoo i love this movie more then anyting

  • @Jumpdownproduction I'm just glad that they wind up together in the end and nobody thought Tack just as a cobbler anymore.

  • Love it!

  • I watched this when I was little on TV. When I watched the recobbled version it was so much better but this song is pretty good.

  • @Rodita1 Yeah this song didn't make me want to claw my eyes out, that's something.

  • when i first saw this movie I was 8 years old!!! I watched it today and im still enjoying it! I only knew about this version... I really like the songs!!

  • this was one of my favorites as a child. i remember picking this by accident and being so happy i did. the thief was so funny!!!

  • This is the version I grew up with. This is the version I like :)

  • Funny cus I recently bought this movie cus it was on sale. I too remember it from childhood and I am also disappointed with the Miramax version. I actually grew up with the Miramax version until my friend told me about it's original version two weeks ago.
