THCR- soory about this idiot being a tosser. Mix and match mate, start of on the bottom and you might then find that the fish are comfortable there. Later on they might move up in the water. Have a shallow rig made up with you.You can fish hemp up in the water but you may get pesterd by small fish.Pellets are perfect for feeding up in the water.Kepp them plopping in and then you will find the fish will start to compete.Hope this has helped

can any one recomend a good pole for carp fishing for under £300?

I know im not going to get a top of the range one but att the ones i buy for 150-200 always split at the joints and are just no good to be honest. thanks.

Hi thanks for the reply, I decided I would be best off spending a bit more cash and get a good one to last so I went for a CXR500 14.5 it should have been £649 but I got it for £399 with 3 power top 2 kits and a mini extension and a nice holall. it seems good enough. quite heavy at full length though.#
