Brilliant performance, my grandmother in Poland used to play it for me - I always wanted to learn how to play it on the piano before they kicked my out of music school at the age of 12 - but never did ;)

but I still love music - and have nice plans for the exploration of this magic form of acoustic energy

Szczerze mówiąc kiedy pierwszy raz słuchałem tego poloneza myślałem, że napisał go Chopin.. hm.. może dlatego, że styl tego poloneza przypomina styl w jakim właśnie F. Chopin pisał.

Z drugiej strony piękne wykonanie pięknego utworu.

Utwór przeważnie występuje jako "Polonez Ogińskiego", nie można mylić z Chopinem:)))

Inny tytuł to "Pożegnanie z Ojczyzną".....

to jest tak bardzo znany polonez, że trudno nie wiedzieć:)))

Moim skromnym zdaniem najpiękniejszy utwór polskiej muzyki poważnej mistrzowsko wykonany prze tego mlodego chlopaka. Szkoda tylko, że autor tego poloneza Michał Kleofas Ogiński w swoim życiu tak bardzo się zeszmacił.

Szczerze mówiąc, nie widziałem lepszego nagrania. Świetne przejścia i co najważniejsze po pianistce widać, że włożyła serce w tą grę.

Sincerely saying, I did not see better recording. Topping passages and shows that after pianist most important, that it has put heart in (to) it game.

Great Performance! M.K.Oginski was not only an ardent patriot of Poland, it seems that he had a key to a Slavic soul in his pocket. This Polonaise bears a very tragic message - Farewell to Fatherland. It is a very popular tune not only in Poland, but in Russia, too. I can`t say it is played slowly, because in traditional way it has to be played in this manner-after all, the Polonaise is a kind of dance-ceremonial procession of pairs.
