@libetta No, it's made from the same darkness technique, as you can see it's quicker and used for more of a surprise than anything, the dragon takes time and it's full power.. the sword could probably have been challenged but he didn't see it coming lol.. Or another theory would be.. The darkness flame techniques are the most powerful in all of demon world, and cannot be stopped my anything.. I dont know lol

@kingmaker2069 Kuro Momontaro was cocky and believed that Hiei didn't have the strength to summon the dragon because Hiei was operating at around 30% of his total energy at this point. So you're right it was defiantly a surprising attack. also it defiantly can be challenged because Hiei tried using it against Sensui in demon world and it didn't even scratch his sacred energy armor.

Bui managed to deflect the dragon later in the tournament (although it got much stronger during the fight after Hiei absorbed it), Sensui's Holy Aura managed to keep the dragon from harming him, and Makuro managed to rip the dragon in half (although Hiei said that the Dragon wasn't meant to kill her, but to free her from her old life of slavery).

Then the fact he became an A class after Yusuke's second death The attack he uses on Sensui had to be highly powerful, though unable to peirce the Sacred Energy Armor. At that moment Kuwabara's Dimension sword was really the only option, after all

Even he didn't want to tempt fate.

@libetta Technically the technique your talking about (Black Dragon Spirit Sword) and the Sword of the Darkness Flame are the some thing as it is very similar, if not then *shrugs* I've not seen much of the whole Sensui arc. As far as power between both swords. As far as raw power goes, Hiei's has more to it, however the Dimension Sword has the quality of slicing through Dimensions. So with a sword capable of that, Sensui's Sacred Energy Armor wouldn't be able to hold it back.
