  • The first cartoon ever!

  • It wasn't quite a "film" as we know now. It was hand-painted *on* the frames (cells), not photographs of illustrations. However, the projection mechanism was somewhat similar to modern (pre-video) film projectors. It also allowed blending with a pre-set still background.

  • I'd like to know about the cut to a medium shot that appears a minute into this video. Who created this cut and why? I'm assuming that the original presentation of the animation didn't feature any edits or cuts like this.
