anyone who says this hit is not good either lives in the east and has never had access to beach volleyball before or just straight up has never played a game of beach volleyball in their life. doing this shot indoors is easy but you dont even realize the the beach is a completely different game altogether- its almost a different sport in itself.

Right for the ones who does not play beach and wonder why this hit is so hard. I suggest that you should try it by yourself - go on the sand , put a men sized net, a two meter cross court blocker and then now you will aim for the line of the court within 1-2 meter deep of the net.

Once you done that i think you will understand that on beach hit like that do not occurs at evry games-

yeah it just looks cool cause he hit straight down. he hit around the block. most hitters don't get those looks very often, so an average good hit is well placed with range.

I remember the first time I saw him. It actually wasn't at an AVP. It was at my step-dad's tournament the Summer Solstice. My step-dad played Rosenthal in the finals and got worked. It's all about FIVB points. I think right now Rosie and Gibb have the most points out of the US teams. I understand that Lambo-Steino and Rogers-Dalhausser also were able to draw some points at the FIVB last year. I still say though the two US olympic spots could go to any of the 3 teams. It would be sweet though to see Rosie-Gibb and Lambo-Steino represent the US. Rosie-Gibb need to show in FIVB tourneys and AVP tourneys that they are a more dominant team then they were last year.

Oh, and I forgot to mention he nailed the line hitting across his body...and yes, I played both, D1 indoor and beach now, and beach is far more difficult physically, trust me - even if you're not going up against multiple blocks. If you don't believe me, you might believe the greatest player in history - indoor and beach - read Karch Kiraly's autobiography. Get out of Manitoba, come on out to SoCal and try it!
