I AM A UMWA MEMBER thank god... here u go massey employees.... These miners at massey should have the right, to look at any boss in the eye, who try to put them in an unsafe situation, these miners should possess the right to say kiss my ass !!!! UMWA UMWA PRIDE... We dont let company bosses fuck with us, we run the show
- Oh God, I was coming home from NC. When this happened, I saw ambulances everywhere, I knew something was going on. When I got home I got on facebook & saw people posting stuff, & I'm like Oh My God. I wanted to start crying. :/ R.I.P <3 I love you all.
i hate how all the people that work in big buildings call us hicks and hillbillys well this is gods message to all those people out there what my dad does and everybody else that thinks its a joke that this is gods message that your'e gonna face consequences in the end so you can decide if you wanna burn in hell or not thats all i have to say.
God blessed Kevin -God dam Blankingshit! whos next? why cant their be safe mines? the news was that Massey covered the detectors that would have saved all those lives
My father worked as a miner for 30 years and took a few knocks, he never said much but I know he loved the bond that miners had between each other. There is no safe mine, but Massey energy violated 57 health and safety laws in one month. The laws are there to protect miners from reckless risk taking by the suits who make all the money but don't get their hands dirty.
all of this has not been updated there was 29 miners that had parished in this explosion god be with all these families no one should ever have to worry that they might not return just going to work everyday it doesnt matter what you do in life youre life could be stripped from you in a split second so all we can do is be ready for god when god is ready for us
I work in an underground mine in southern Indiana he is right there are no safe mines all mines have methane some have a little more than others. We had to be evacuated last year and we were off work for a week.
I am a proud miner in Northeast Ohio... Not underground but a surface mine. Everyday us miners report for work for another day at the mine. No one tells us we have to be miners we just do it and we do it well. We take pride in what we do becuase there is alot of people that would never think of doing it. These guys died doing a job that takes a number of lives every year. This guy is right there is no "SAFE" mine. Its a risk we miners take. God be with all of there families in this time of need.
Is it me or does it seem like some people can't accept an accidental death? The man said there are no safe mines, which I completely agree with. But the news anchor seems like he is searching for someone or something to blame by asking if the company treats the employees alright. Maybe I'm wrong. Just a though
I come from a long line of miners, both my grand daddies were miners, one of them died before I was born, he was crushed between two coal cars, my prayers and thoughts are with those poor men and are with the families, God help them all

My uncle would have been in there if he was not on leave because of a heart attack. My heart goes out to all the coal miners.

It takes a special person to be able to work in a coal mine!!! God be with these families...............
As this man says.... there are NO SAFE mines...... but they have to feed the need for energy and make a living for their families!!!
