i met poetic in montreal in 1998 ,,he was promoting bran van 3000 very caring and lovable guy ,,i still remember his ring that covered his whole finger ,along with his gravediggaz mouth peice ,he had alot of stuff on his mind ,,i wish he had more of a chance say it.love and miss you rip
well done! kinda mad tho that there is only a bit over 12,000 views......cats need to find the true hip-hop amongst all the bull shit that's out there. THIS is a true MC no doubt!.......RIP!! Gravediggaz stays on my playlist to the death!!!
I thought he first joined up with his brother to make the band the brothers grym before he joined the gravediggaz. I know he was mainly solo but meh, just what I heard.
Anyways, Too Poetic is my favourite MC of all time RIP brother, your music will live on with my kids thats for sure.
possibly the greatest rapper ever. so underrated. Mna he is my hero in so many ways he nwever put donw that mic untill his final days. I love you homie rest in peace i know you would be so dissapointed to see what hip hop has become of today in the mainstream level. RIP too poetic 1964-2001
wow ...this video is live..... perfect timing with that picture and the change in the song 'unexplained' with the heavenly background in the song ....good use of resources for only one song ..... this seems to be others going to make documentary's bout suckin dick but i say to them "LEAVE THIS TRIBUTE WITH POETIC" it aint about cha ...... stay off, peace
Damn! I only just found this tribute, he was one of my fav rappers of all time, I remember a scandalous small paragraph in HHC explaining his death, why was Poetic so slept on when he became ill, I hope when my time is here I can shake his hand and thank him for the inspiration.
poetic the greates rapper to ever live. gone to early with so much talent. rip man. a dedication page just poped up on myspace like a week ago there is only one and it is offical.
It's nice to see all the love for Poetic. He was a really good friend of mine for almost 10 yrs. We did a few demos together back in the day. Hip-Hop really let him down when he got sick. And yes, RZA did not go to his funeral neither did Prince Paul. They left him hanging when he needed cash for some of his cancer testing and treatments that probably would have kept him alive. I cannot read the caption on who did he BIO, but thank you it brought back fond memories of my boi.
Poetic was a martyr from what i understand. I heard he made his battle with cancer a protest against the problems of the medical system in the U.s. Nightmare in A Flat is about his passing.
yo, that is crazy! i had know idea till this day, Grym was the illest out the bunch. lyricly he was insane, dude had more imagination than 99% of the kats out there today...Poetic, you are missed

Poetic was one of the greatest Emcees of all time. His diversity and "street parables" mingled with esoteric musings are unmatched.
