You're very welcome. I didn't expect to get in contact with a relative of Ms. Lucy Ann Polk. Thanks for letting me know about the site Kool Kat Korner. Seems like there are some moving pictures that captured her. How I wish to see them! I heartily hope that you'll find her soon.
Dear openbaffle3 ....thanks for posting this lovely song by my aunt Lucy Ann Polk . I am ignorant ...who made the vid ? Please view Big Band , Swing , Lucy Ann Polk , on this page to see my talk with Gunnison 3. Please google Kool Kat Korner and search L A P then go to older posts Thanks for putting my aunt on here !!! Randy Polk
Yes... completely agree with you. Lucy is my one of my favorite singer! Very natural, when she sings, it seems like an extension of her breathing. Like I said in another Lucy video on youtube, She the only jazz singer that I've heard that strips away the fake and artificial, you get the point (or story) of the song right away. She makes all the other jazz singers (even the big 3-> Billie, Ella, Sarah) sound mannered and pretentious!
I was saddened to learn recently that Lucy Ann had passed away on October 10th. this year.
My condolences to Randy and other members of her family.

Beautiful version of a great Hoagy song...Wonderful taste she had.

I agree. In the 1950s there were lots of wonderful singers who left only one or two albums.

You're welcome, georgerwu. At your age my favorite was, for example, Innervisions by Stevie Wonder. You have too good taste.
