The Pineapple might be a cheaper Lanikai Uke, but they make quality instruments. I enjoy the tone you're getting very much. It's a toy in price only. I've heard worse sounding Ukes for 150
I think it's the best uke you can get for 50 bucks. hehe. only problem I have is that the strings tend to go out of tune pretty quickly. but sound is pretty decent for the money.
@imcure your welcome i have the standard shape of this uke i also have a bushman jenny soprano its about 190 dollars but a great uke i wouldnt use anything else
I know it's a little off. I've tried my best. It's probably a common problem with the tuner for Ukuleles under 50 bucks: they can't stay in tune, not even for a few minutes.
D(d) means down, U(u) means up. Capital means quarter notes and lower case means eighth notes.
Actually what I did was always swing my forearms up and down every eighth note, but only strum the strings when needed. other times just swing by without touching the strings. like the illustration below, every 'x' is an eight note below, and 'd' and 'u' mark the notes you need to strum the strings either down or up
That is disrespect to ur wife. Lankai are not 'toy' makers. They are a good uke maker and very expensive, she probably payed alot for that. Do u know how ungrateful u sound? 'so i should at least learn a song'!
you sounded very serious. but my video description wasn't. notice the smiley face in it? I know Lankai makes very good ukes. This is an entry level one though ($50). Won't stay in tune for over 3 minutes. But it's fun to play with and I love the pine shape even thought it's very difficult to hold it.
@imcure Yeah I read a bit about it just now too. Seems to have some general intonation problems, so some strings might sound out of tune on some frets, even though the uke is tuned properly.
:D great job. Btw lanaki's are not toys, theyre one of the best ukes you can get. If this uke is too small, i suggest you buy a concert size, which is more for medium sized hands

I didn't mean ukes are toys. I meant a 50 buck Uke has the price of a toy cause typically decent ukes are over 200 bucks.

Yes, I'd definitely recommend it. It's pretty decent for just 50 dollars. very good for smaller hands. :)
imcure 2 years ago
give it a couple of weeks for the strings to settle down. Then it'll hold the tune pretty well.
imcure 2 years ago
Just stretch the strings and keep tuning them. You can eliminate that after 20 min.
