  • That's the biggest dildo I have ever seen

  • at 0:25 there is the red shiplight. If that is on, you are highly recommended not to go inside the fenced area unless you are ready for some realy shocking experience.

  • Hahah, was there about 10 years ago.

We were at one side of a fence, and the hundret kV electric arch was striking the fence from the other side.

It was fun as i blew air through the iron fence to the arch it was bending just like a flame of some huge candle.

Realy spectacular stuff, especialy if you are wtching it only from a few inches

  • This is uber cool

  • Nice. I want one!!!

  • is this how the wonder woman was made?

  • I want one of these in my back yard!!!

  • the arc is like " dont you fucking go away copper ball!" :L

  • @JDTV1995 Well, it's rare to see a faraday cage, which is made from wood.

  • @JDTV1995

It's called a Faraday cage mate. What it does is it grounds any arcs of electricity that may straw towards you rather can leaving the unimpeded and allowing the energy to pass through you.

    :)

  • @JDTV1995 You'd rather be behind a plastic fence? This thing would penetrate several inches of plastic/timber.

It's for safety, if for some reason there's an arc, a metal grounded cage will stop and ground it.

Not really rocket science, just elementary safety for HV apparatus.

  • @JDTV1995

    you won the special olympics

  • @JDTV1995 Lol, u utter noob. It's a smart thing you weren't in charge of designing it.

  • Igen arra.

  • Milyen egyértelmű a hangja a BALCANCAR kétsebességes "macskának" szinte összetéveszthetetlen.

  • @1234595933 Ja a darura gondolsz?

  • How do I get your job?

  • Giant electric nuclear boner

  • Dassum cool shit

  • This is Black Mesa? :D

  • i just want to see the power meter turning =)

  • The big insulator bushing looks rather phallic.

  • that is is a HUGE insulator on that transformer...

  • @dibblebill - thanks, I've only had over a year to figure that one out. But that was probably 'obvious' to you.

  • Scary things, powerful electron jumps !

  • Is this a scientific experiment or just playtime?

  • Free inexhaustible energy is real! But some very powerfull ppl don't want you and me to be free from energy costs,Find the real deal, a free energy device at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Join the revolution!

  • electricity is fun

  • the power of electricity...always been my favorite element, specifically lightening of course, awesome video dude.

  • @Andy861993 stimmt auch wieder ;-)

  • IT LOOKS LIKE A PENIS!

  • that must be less than 600kv

  • @TheBullShitCompany

Again, just for you : "The maximum voltage is 600kV, but now using just 100kV at 3A."

  • @omegalab

    thanks

  • @omegalab Wow that's 300KVA. Wonder how the sparks are not causing any EM interference in the camera. Have you tried using your cellphone around it?

  • @amiyaiitkgp We are behind a faraday cage. The arc poduced very low EM.

  • @Lupic1995

Ich weiß es nicht. Das Primerspannung ist circa 440V.

  • Better would be to bring the conductor FROM THE SIDE.

You are remaining in the heated rising ionized gasses.

  • when working with high voltage theres nothing safer that hiding behind the good old metal fence

  • @suckyskater21 100% correct

  • Make it a LiL longer and I can jump rope with it

  • Super MOT! Lol just kidding, really nice, where is this?

  • @zker666

    ->description.

  • @omegalab oh, right lol

  • szuper

  • Thats a beefy spark!

When your instructor leaves, turn it up to 600K and show us the vid!

  • Ez õrület! Hogyan sikerült ez történni?

  • @ZEROSKATER19931

    Ezt nem teljesen értem :)

    In english?

  • @omegalab

Oh ok Elnézést, beszél angolul. De szép videó!

  • @ZEROSKATER19931

    No problem.

  • this machine looks like a big dick

  • =))))))))

  • BME magasfesz. labor? :)

  • Igen.

  • Awesome, you Scientists have all the fun :D

  • amazing, I wonder what your electricity bill is lol

  • That DOES sound power :)

  • hehej magyar emberek!

  • Looks like the tesla coil's from Red Alert 2. It looks scary :D

  • It's like a big flame!

  • now go in there and lift the wire manually :D

  • @Jet3800 lol, I was thinking the same thing as I watched it. Could almost feel the shock just thinkin' about it :D

  • massive

  • Úgy hallom ez a felvétel Magyarországon készült. :-)

Inkább a veiki vnl-hez nézz be, ott 100MVA teljesítményekkel játszadoznak (zárlat is:)

  • High Tension lines are around 500kV!!! This must have serious power

  • Rather shocking footage...

  • Black Mesa Compound

  • Szia omegalab! Milyen gyártmányú a transzformátor? Mert egy videón, ahol a szibériai Marx-generátort mutatták (leghosszabb ívet állították elő a világon), ehhez nagyon hasonló NDK "T-u-R" trafók voltak láthatók. Köszi!

  • Hali, nem tudom milyen gyártmányú, majd megkérdezem.

  • Comment removed

  • Why did i get voted down? I'm asking a legit question.. I'll ask again: Why does a university own this? What is the purpose? My APOLOGIES for not knowing why! f---k !

  • @maximumvideodrome

    Obvious answer: For research purposes.

  • Comment removed

  • Why does the university own this!!???

  • Because this is the best university in the world.

  • Because knowledge isn't just based on black letters and white paper, but on great experiments.

  • - @ technograd -

I wish I could just keep clicking on the thumbs up icon - you've hit the nail right on the head with your statement.

  • give him and you both a thumbs up for those comments :)

  • @technograd so true!

  • Tesla :P

  • Love the sound of that snap at the end :D

  • Reminds me of Superman III

    Scary shit man!

  • try 1 volt at 45000 amps and see what heppens.

  • WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

    so freakin cooool!

  • "Just" 100 kV LooooL

  • The sheer power and the sound of it, oh and Freud is giggling in his grave.

  • 600kv is nothing its the amps that matter

  • What kind of transformer is this? A regular AC two windings transformer, or a resonant transformer?

  • Probably just a Regular Transformer.

FAxa! :)

  • 2 méterről tudsz hegeszteni vele.

  • that is so high volt that it will burn w00t

  • Oh yes, that is realy the obvious.

  • I know that in dry air the breakdown between smooth surfaces fith a big enough radius occures when roughly 30 kV voltage is applied. What I see there hardly coincides with that fact, but although can be possible the voltage is realy 600 kV in some conditions.

  • There is 100kV on the video.

  • What is the radius of the ball?

  • I think it has about a 10 cm diameter.

  • I love it how people start complaining about amps and volts.

I think people get the phrase "volts thrill, amps kill" as you usually don't see a flippin ton of amps in applications with little volt. A taser generally uses up to a million volts, at a mere miniscule amount of amps. The other way around however... not seen too much

  • tasers would typically put out around a few thousand to maybe a few tens of thousands of volts, rather than a million, but your point remains

  • you are ALL stupid.

it's both volts AND amps that kill you.

i have touched a 1 million volt tesla coil and im not dead.

just like 100's of amps at 1 volt won't kill you

    it's common fucking sence!

  • "just like 100's of amps at 1 volt won't kill you"

Oh, but hundreds of amps certainly WOULD kill you - if you could pump that many through the body at 1 volt, which you can't.

If memory serves, as few as 100 milliamps (one tenth of an amp), if conducted through the chest, can start having an effect on heart beat. 1 amp is plenty enough to kill you!

  • to stop your heart you need as few as 6 milliamps across it. and yes, 100 amps WILL kill you, but not at 1 volt, since your skin won't be conductive enough.

  • as learned from mythbusters in my experience

  • çok iiiiiii tbrrr

  • The insulator is a lightning arrester, so it gets lots of energy.

  • even the transformer itself says dont touch me.

  • even though it's 100kv, being 3 amps it's only just enough to kill a man.

  • lol you.. even 40 Volts is enough to kill not to mention 220 Volts. So what do you think about 100 kV or even 600 kV. Noob

  • tasers are thousands of volts. its about the current.

  • Volts dont matter, Noob. It's the amperage that matters, Noob. 5mA (mA = MilliAmp, Noob) is enough to kill if it goes to your heart, Noob.

  • @Tomasm21 ATUALY ur the noob... if 40volts can kill then why don't 50,000 volt stun guns kill you??? T_T tell me that. can't can you??? thats because it the AMPS that kill you NOT the volts ¬_¬ and acording to my electronics teacher it's 0.5 amps to kill you and 0.1 amps across the heart to stop it.

  • At one point it reminded me of a light saber :D

  • whats the reserch?

  • Wow, thats a beast of a transformer.. nice insulator lol

  • a massive amount of energy is wasted in doing this things.

    anyway 5/5 vid

  • IMA FIRIN MAH LAZER!!!

  • Now lets see that in FULL BLAST!

  • the electricity fuck

  • Hmm, érdekes :)

  • wtf i feel like im playing half life ..

  • LOL

  • Duuuuuh is that touchable!!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

  • hmmm well if the current was very low then yes :P But it would hurt so so so much. (Static shock = 1kV - 10kV, this is 600kV

  • @Coiltec: The current is what determines how much heat goes into the electrodes. A 3A arc, while impressive to watch, isn't going to do much damage to anything.

300A will weld 1" steel plate.

  • electricity is so fucking amazing!!!!

  • Are that really 100kV@3A? I mean, 300kW of power will melt the electrodes in seconds...

  • Yes, this is really 100kV at 3A.

  • This is awesome...makes my 20kv stuff look like a toy.

  • Hi omegalab, do you know how do they limit current to the transformer?

  • Hi, I think there is a shunt in the transformer, but not for sure.

  • Well as you hear before the arc goes out a weird sound. I think it is solid state or reactor or other type of constant-current control which I am trying to make but with no success.

  • If my resonant NST is tuned a bit bad,

then i also can hear a sound like this,

before the arc is cutted off.

  • yes, all resonant arcs do that. I think it's the resonant circuit "re-igniting" the arcs when they get long until they can't be sustained no more.

  • PUT YOUR FINGER OVER THERE!!!

600kV IN NOT SO MUCH FOR YOU!!

  • holy fuck!!!!!

imagine someone bumps you into those arcs LOL!

  • I dont think any of you people know what your talking about your just using big words to sound smart

  • So if everyone is using "big words" that confuse you, why are you commenting here? Because you have nothing better to say that's what.

  • EARGASM.....sweet spark.....

  • hajrá magyarok:D

  • Dude... Is that constant flow AC? COOL :D

You can hear the transformer actually roaring at the huge power it has to give... That buzz is the 50Hz ferromagnetic core vibration sound :)

    Insane!

What was the peak current? 3 amps?

  • Volts have nothing to do with current... ALL alkaline batteries have a nominal voltage of 1.5v, whether it is an AAA size cell or a D size. The voltage is dictated by the chemistry of the cell.

  • What do they use this for?

  • its like a flame

  • I'm guessing this thing uses SCR/TRIAC phase angle controller to control power/ to maintain more-or-less constant current output.

  • note the penis shaped transformer.... lol?

  • rofl!!!!

  • grow the fuck up...
