Well, poor Debra Byrne was going through a really hard time and couldn't really carry such a big show... People were tired of always seeing one of her understudies and the attendence dropped, resulting in the show closing in less than six months. But, seriously, it's nothing to be ashamed of, LOL! You'd be hard pressed to find a production of "Sunset Boulevard" that did NOT end up a flop and that was filled with scandals, diva wars, lawsuits and psychotic breakdowns.
