I have a hard time understanding the whole "Ryan Adams version" conversation. I'm a big fan of the Ryan Adams version and am a fan of Ryan in general (saw him open for Oasis) but how does the fact that he moves his capo up a fret make it "the Ryan Adams version" he doesn't finger pick through out the song or anything he still just plays chord

Noel Gallagher saw Ryan Adams perform Wonderwall in Manchester and was completely blown away with his version. after the set he spoke with Adams saying, 'you can have that song, man, because we could never quite get it right.'

subsequently, when Noel preforms Wonderwall acoustically, he often does the Ryan Adams version, as is the case with this Paris performance.
