@casiosdio back in the 1700's george washington wanted his men to be disciplined in every way. they took care of their weapons and made up facing and marching movements. they would sing these cadences to get his men ready for battle. basically to get you pumped up for a battle or to maintain discipline.

Really & truly, these soldiers ARE the best!!!! These young soldiers are what I used to call the "poopers and scoopers" They pick the poop jobs and they scoop it up, NO DAMN complaints from them. They do their jobs. I just love these guys and I don't mind saying they bring tears to my eyes when I see them. I say God (yes, God!) bless them everyone!! GO INFANTRY!!

@jack916459 Everything You just said is the truth, I'm also in JROTC and I sort of go to a geto school. It's not as bad as you think but we really lack oraganization and discpline <-------- Major weakness. It's really pathetic how us teens act. Over half the kids in our battalion don't want to be in JROTC and they don't do anything about it!

@105bloodlover Don't listen to people who down play JROTC, you get out of it what you put in. It's a great start especially in high school. It involves you in the school, community, as well as instills a sense of discipline. Granted, it's not boot, however if the Sergeants and Officers could do to you in High School what they can in the service then I guarantee it wouldn't be looked at as a "joke". Plus lets be honest, what high schooler couldn't use some damn discipline these days.
