  • nice work, watch mine too and accept my frients request too. good luck

  • Amazing !!

  • Just in terms of realizing the work you have done, how long would it have taken you if the first sculpture, the backpack, was your only project. The detail alone is unconstructable, without a seeable fault. I think I saw a helicopter from the major motion picture Avater in there. I would hope your working on this as a profession because you deserve to have the credit for these. And you did this all on your own? Wow.

  • Thanks for the compliments on the showreel guys. Much appreciated :D

All the projects were pretty much firsts so I was learning along the way. Meaning, it took a while ;)

@Creeper901: I tried doing the titling in Eyeon fusion, but I decided it was a horrible way to do it, so I just did it in maya instead. It was much faster and much easier. I think it was rendered with hardware renderer. And some motionblur added in post.

I am starting my new job in games as a char artist in a few months :)

  • which software did you use to create the titling in the very beginning?????? that was really cool

  • fantastic works! nice models, nice renders :)

  • hey ma, I should already know this but I dont. I like the bag but, how do you render it with the mesh showing??

  • :O

  • that tape recorder is disgusting how long did that take you to do its perfect!!!!

  • dude,

what kind of software u used to make this 3d show reel ?

How do you rotate your model while transforming your model?

im still newbie, hope u can teach me how do you do that.

    thanks

  • @TheDoctordesign

what do you mean by transforming? transforming in 3D means moving vertices or such. It's quite impossible to transform a model while animating cameras. Even if I am wrong, I don't see any transformation in the video.

Unless if you're talking about fading transition between model preview fade into wireframe then into rendered model. You can use any video editor software (even windows movie maker) to make such transition. All you you need is all 3 version of the same video.

  • @zaorine636

Yes. Thats what im talking about..Fading transition between model preview fade into wireframe then into rendered model.

    Sorry for my mistake.

Now i understand how to do that. All i need is 3 version of the same video right.

    Thanks a lot to you.

  • very nice man. did you render it with mental ray?

  • @caspianfilms1 Correct. Thank you

  • @davifoss well done. I really like your work.

  • have you made the shaders and material in maya yourself?

  • @caspianfilms1 But of course :)

  • fantastic job! Im learning how to use those programs at the moment (Maya & Mudbox) and i found this pretty motivating :D

  • OHH MYYYY GOOOOOD im soooo jealous!! And I thought I was cool using Google Sketchup! But I am proud to know that humans are finally getting to such high standards.

  • @tostrong4you using google sketchup makes you not-cool :) haha

  • @tostrong4you how, what, i dont even, did you just compare that work to you using google sketchup! *facepalm*

  • @Olirap I think the way Sketchup works is at least in some way similar to how those things are made. Things like, extrude, mesh, push/pull ,rotate, duplicate, objects, lighting, camera angles. Cant imagine working with a program that doesn't have at least those things.

  • @tostrong4you while thats true, the way that it saves its meshes is incompatible with anything else, without quite a bit of work, and it doesnt have lighting, nor does it have more important things like rigging, multiple cameras, common exporters ,or proper rendering, without installing additional plugins

  • sweet u should make a tutorial !

  • this is why i started using a 3d program recently

    Good job!

  • nice!!

  • Truly inspiring

  • Inspired!

    Now I feel like modeling!

  • perfect.

  • Music: Jay epoh - red eye flight I'm love it

    Video: Fantastc! Gratulations!!!

  • You should apply at a gamestudio.

  • your work is very very nice

  • very very nice work the lighting is perfect!

  • that's awesome. there's some moire patterns on the bag straps from 0:50 to 0:53 and on the underside of the tape deck which you could get rid of by turning up the texture filter blur. But I'm not knocking it, it's fantastic.

  • Outstanding quality
