@billytheriotgrrrl Completely agree with you. It only appears nice to the tourists, but the tourists don't really get to see and hear about what REALLY goes on in Philly. It's pretty ghetto. I'm glad I moved far away, to a tropical island, so I don't have to deal with any of that BS anymore.
depends on the hood...its on the border of an old italian area and a minority hood. usually its very safe but sometimes in flux. friday nights were bad for a while. lotta "alt" types hang out on South party hours. days its quiet. now north philly is scary like mid-town!
really its not, my school is up the street from south street and all of the middle schoolerz (6th grade) or younger and older kids go there after school. nothing bad ever happens. some of us usually meet up there and walk alone
