It's interesting watching this again after learning so much about the movie and it's history. To think those skeletons might be actual deceased loved ones...
My hometown (Stillwater, MN) did that with the old pioneer burial ground. They moved the stones to the "newer" cemetery and built a school on the site. Then the town grew and needed a bigger school, so they tore down the old school and built a new one elsewhere. Nice Victorian houses popped up in its place. Today there are no schools on "School Street" and the only hint that a graveyard was there is that people are still digging bones out of their gardens! Bones from over 130 years ago!
@brojoghost same here in Denver we have Cheesman park that used to be a cemetary and they had prisoners move the bodies into 2' pine boxes and moves to a new cemetery but the prisoners did a half ass job and now the built the park and botanical gardens on the site every time the expand they find more bones. you can also see huge dents in the ground where all the old caskets/vaults are still and have collapsed
You son-of-a-bitch! You moved the cemetry, but you left the bodies! Didn't you?! You son-of-a-bitch! You left the bodies, and you only moved the headstones! YOU ONLY MOVED THE HEADSTONES!!!! WHY??!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????!!!!!!!!!
Google "Cheesman Park Denver". It's a crazy and true story. It's estimated by the City and County of Denver that there are about 5000 bodies still buried there. I did two nights of ghost hunting by myself at Cheesman Park last weekend
(on 10.10.10!!) .
Beautiful by day and very dark and seriously spooky by night.
I caught some really cool EVP's. One particularly creepy EVP I caught sounds like a demon roar and kids laughing.
Ah, the living dead- the decomposed bodies shooting out of the ground in their coffins and- um, well, they just sort of fall out of their coffins and lie there because decomposed bodies don't move all that well.
