No, I meant HH fucked up the NWO storyline by not cleanly jobbing to Sting at Starcade 97. After over a year of HH /w title and months of Sting in rafters, WCW fans and Sting fans deserved to have a legitimate break. Instead WCW writers wrote Bret Hart into storyline and HH didn't job cleanly. NWO angle went downhill after that. It could have been revived had Hogan lost. Sting could have gone against Hall, Nash, Giant, Savage, Hennig, Steiner, & Luger until a final WCW vs NWO battle @ WarGames.

@mapscannotcontainme Other way round man, Hogan should have kept the belt longer after beating sting at starcade97 to build the feud more, wcw was too impatient in trying to make sting champion after he hadn't been in a long time the whole way that match ended with bret hart etc fucked up the nwo storyline, the only lifeline to the whole nwo was Hogan, fact, nash or macho man vs sting would be just another midcard match everyone knows Hogan was always the main event and it was for a reason.

@mapscannotcontainme You should watch the match thats Hogan vs bret hart and turns into Hogan vs sting, Hogan used that time with sting to show how much stronger than sting he was, only letting sting do anything right before bret hart came to show his allegiance to Hogan, that was on purpose from hogan so he could look strong against warrior, but they didn't get Hogan the belt back in time for his match with warrior so wcw started chain bombing when the main event was ddp vs goldberg

If Arn deserved a win over Hogan, he at least should have jobbed back to Hogan the following week to make it even. Hogan was a perennial main eventer; Arn wasn't. WCW always sucked, even when it was beating WWE. The nWo was the most overrated angle in history. It started out with a bang, but they never really knew what to do with it from that point forward. The angle also NEVER had a payoff.

Please. If there was a problem involving Hogan and jobbing, it was never other people not jobbing to Hogan.

The nWo angle wasnt overrated. It was huge and it deserves credit as one of the greatest angles ever. It was killed when Hogan failed to job cleanly to Sting at Starcade 97. If Hogan had jobbed cleanly to Sting, Sting would have been free to run thru other members of nWo for a good 6 mo. and Hogan could have finally had a series with Hart, who he also never jobbed to.

You don't seem to get it. Hogan>Arn. Therefore, he Hogan should have beaten Arn. It's as simple as that.

Hogan failing to job cleanly to Sting and the failure of the angle having a payoff are reasons why it was overrated. Furthermore, other than the fact that Hogan turned heel at the start of the storyline, how was the nWo good? I really can't think of anything, and too many people were in the nWo.

Hogan > Arn? What do you mean by this? Ratings and drawing ability? OK, I agree. Wrestling ability? No chance in hell (no pun intended). AA, the cripple early 50 something year old, 12-13 yrs since he last wrestled legitimately could today outwrestle a in-the-prime-of-his-career-HH. And you can take that to the bank.

Hogan fucking up NWO storyline doesnt make the first year of the NWO storyline bad. Other benefits? Monday Night War innovation btw WCW & WWF for one.

Hogan didn't fuck up the storyline; he was the sole reason why it was ever entertaining. Had ANYONE else been the third man at Bash at the Beach '96, the whole angle would have bombed. Yeah, the nWo got good ratings, but I just think that it was overrated, looking back. I really liked it at the time, though.

Hogan was a much bigger star than Arn even in WCW, so this isn't a WWE thing. Arn should have returned the job the following week, but the idiots at WCW had Hulk get DQ'd the following week. Stupid booking, and Arn didn't get anything from it because he did a clean job to the Booty Man shortly after this.
